DI'ing in or away from Marth's tipper?

So for example, while being combo'd by short hop double fair --> fsmash, require me to DI the fairs in, or should I just DI the whole sequence out? I found myself getting hit by that combo a lot. Admittedly, I'm pretty naive when it comes to DI. I often input incorrect DI or just DI in ways that...

DI'ing in or away from Marth's tipper?

This is something I've been meaning to ask on the boards. When playing against a good Marth, I see myself getting combo'd then f-smashed at the end of the combo. Should I DI away from the f-smash and risk getting tippered, or DI in and eat a normal forward smash?

What is the best way to solo practice teching hits and escaping combos?

I have 20xx, so if there's any configuration I can do with that let me know. Just looking for something more feasible than lvl 9 cpu.

    Tournament nerves

Honestly, don't try to conceal the fact that you're new to tournaments when going to an event. Allow someone to help you out wherever you need it, as it'll make things a lot less confusing. Check out this video [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YePIBypk_DI], which takes you step by step playing a...

    ..........

What I do is try and pinpoint certain situations in matches that are likely to happen often, rather than analyzing every single move. Additionally, there isn't much use in taking notes and scrutinizing a scenario that was either a fluke or a strange instance that you as a player probably won't...

C-stick cutting in and out in game?

For some reason my C-stick on my controller just stops working in all directions during a match, with no pattern at all. It's only while in game though, as it works perfectly fine in the menus. This also happens in Project M for me. I'm using a 1st party indigo GC controller on a rather old Wii...

    Jigglypuff Help Needed

I guess you're right, it's like a perfect harmony of defensive and aggressive. Which I suppose is why he's the best Puff :p

    Jigglypuff Help Needed

While I'm not a Jiggs player, the small amount I've played her as well as all the footage I've seen of her playing has led me to discover that she revolves primarily around what the other opponent is doing. Hungrybox opts for a very defensive style, which pays off well for her. Learning to weave...

Should I play who I want, despite being really bad?

If you like Falco, just keep practicing with him. He isn't a particularly hard character to see improvement with, especially if you pick him up when you're relatively new to the game. Learning spacie tech will become second nature in your play once you practice it enough. Just watch tutorials...

It kind of looked like he threw it towards the setup.

Best method to split up IC's?

Oh I know the follow ups, it's just a matter of being confident that you won't drop it somehow. In a last stock high percent situation, you may want to compartmentalize things and take out Nana so it's easier to close out their stock. But thanks for the advice!

Best method to split up IC's?

True, but I feel like it leaves you two choices. Either go after Nana once they're split, or you could take the higher risk and obviously higher reward of trying to kill Popo, which of course is being controlled by your opponent. Really comes down to the context of the situation and how...

Best method to split up IC's?

I can see retreating fair working if they're in their jump, and I can get around Popo to continue hitting Nana off the stage.

Marth's tools for moving forward and reliably getting stage control?

If they counter your d tilt with an aeiral, you can CC it and short hop nair or fair depending on the opponents percent and/or character. Or if you are not in CC percent you could opt to nair/fair OOS. As a third option you could spot dodge after the d tilt, but that is easily punishable and not...
