Advice What are the best and worst stages for each character?

I'll just say for the characters I play in bracket: :ultdarkpit:/:ultpit: are terrible on Kalos. They're hard to kill with outside of edge-guarding, so the wide blast zones, high ceiling, vertical walls for wall jumps, and remote platforms to add to recovery options do them a tremendous...

Why Can't You Use a Smash Attack After a Jab?

It's not a glitch. It's an elephantine amount of cool down time before you can use a different move rather than continuing the jab. Unfortunately, the old jab cancel tricks got body-slammed in Ultimate so I don't know what to tell you besides work on the timing.

What Color Pit Do You Use and Why?

I use the Magnus alt for DP and the cherub alt for Pit, mainly cause they're aesthetically the most different from each other.

Help, need to find a secondary.

I wouldn't use Shulk. He gets ran over himself. I've stopped using anyone in singles besides Pit/Pitoo, but there's a pair of good Shulks out here that I smacked pretty easily with Inkling in a Squad Strike bracket. I didn't ask them about the matchup afterward, but it seemed like from my side...

Who's Better? Pit or Dark Pit? Just a Matchup Preference?

Faster arrows are better for hitting opponents on stage or otherwise right in front of you. Extremely angle-able arrows are better for hitting opponents offstage. Upperdash Arm is useful for light opponents on stages with a low ceiling. Electroshock arm is more useful against opponents with...

    Best Stages For Pit/Dark Pit?

They're almost all match-up based, in my opinion. If I'm playing someone that I can maneuver around really easily, I always go to Lylat and Smashville since it's easy to shark the platforms and be consistent in advantage. If I'm playing a Mario or something, I'd rather go for a bigger stage like...

    Killing with Bair

I think D-throw to B-air should be a thing, but to be honest, I don't really try it that often. It's part not being skilled enough to use it seamlessly and part, finding D-throw to F-air to be fine when working off the ledge. I've found most uses/kills with B-air to be in falling from a...

Down Throw into Nair... did you know he could do it?

That's been a super awkward thing for me to get used to for some reason. I think if you can actually figure out exactly when they'll pop out behind you with N-air you could use that to your advantage somehow, like how falling F-air goes into D-tilt really easily. The mechanics of it are still...

    Competitive Pit players

Can we put Nairo in this mug since he pulled our boy out in a Top 8?

Journey to Elite Smash with Dark Pit

I'd agree with the group and say Down-B throws people off if you're not really using it. I tend to avoid landing anywhere near the opponent when I'm in a mid-to-high percent disadvantage/juggle situation though. Ledge ends up being the aim a lot. Doing that is usually pretty easy since you have...

How Do I Keep Stage Control and Be Aggressive with Slow Air Speed?

They way you described it makes it sounds like you've refined your fundamentals more than anything. :-) I think his dash attack is pretty great. The knockback has been increased from Smash 4 so it's good to use for a ground punish if you don't think you can get an F-smash in time. Also...

How Do I Keep Stage Control and Be Aggressive with Slow Air Speed?

I shorthop arrow with Dark Pit all the time since his arrows don't have as much flexibility. With Pit I do when I'm trying to get under the ledge since if you don't jump, trying to to turn the angle sharp enough to hit someone by the stage will just hit the ground instead. Retreating to shoot an...

Pit/Dark Pit Players - Some questions

He's underrated for that very reason indeed. I was hoping Earth would come back around or Nairo would have him as a secondary but neither has happened. Tbh the best player I've seen with him is just a local guy that's not much better than I am. Anyway, when I say "still mid tier at best" I...

Down Throw into Nair... did you know he could do it?

It's very inconsistent. I wish it was more like Palu's. Outside of against dumbasses online, I can only get two n-airs out of any situation. Honestly, I usually don't try to get multiple n-airs unless the first one comes out of shield. Out of d-throw, I go for u-smash at lower percents (u-tilt...

Pit/Dark Pit Players - Some questions

He is underrated, but still definitely mid-tier at best. His aeriels have less lag now, but there are issues with them. They expanded his n-air hitbox (the one I use the most) but it still feels to small for the animation. His aerials also get beat out by a lot of others which doesn't make sense...
