The knockback from ness's dash attack stacked and the momentum from that carried over to your jump, carrying you way higher than normal. At least that's how I interpret it.

I main Marth and use Y for jump. I rest my thumb in between of Y and A and have no problem doing the Ken combo when I get a chance.
