The projectile's aren't as big of a problem as the sword is, so Yoshi's is not that great Imo, you want to stay out of range of his sword in neutral, but close enough that you can punish if he tries to pull a bomb. You need to bait out attack and punish, because its very hard to approach past...

i think just talking about application would be good. For example when YL uses running up-b to grab ledge it can catch a fox/falco side-b. However Young Link is still rather unexplored, so some of his techniques aren't real definitive in terms of their use.

Sometimes after I am hit up with a move, I'll use down air, but I wont go down, it will just put the hit box out. Anyone know why this happens?

Very matchup specific. Against fast fallers generally you up throw in to up-air or nair. Same with a lot of floaties except you use down throw, and you can use dair out of the throw. Forward throw is pretty much useless, and backthrow is useful if your back is near the lege and the opponent has...
