Because that's just an aesthetic... Sword wielders is just a name for characters with long disjointed hit boxes - if we are talking about sword wielders in a gaming sense then their aesthetics don't matter.

A lot of sword characters are just ways of Nintendo promoting the latest Fire Emblem games so they feel very "samey". Also, I'm not sure if someone is trolling by saying sword characters are always top tier. That doesn't really make sense...and in Melee the best character by far was Fox...
