Also, Ike's aerials/smashes in general stay out long enough for SHAD/Phase to not be a great option to take.

To start, Mewtwo vs Ike is a game centered around forcing Ike to approach unsafely. Shadowball can be used, but I do believe (not 100% don't flame me for it if I'm wrong) that Ike's side b can stop shadowball, and a countered shadowball of high or full charge can decimate mewtwo if he's hit by...

They are very fundamentally different characters. If you want to play both, then go for it.

I'm not a huge advocate of Mewtwo in Doubles. For him to succeed, his partner needs to cover his landing well, as we are kind of a massive air balloon target in Doubles. Mewtwo's strong offstage game and decent projectile can be handy in Doubles, though. The CF player really needs to work with...

I still practice Melee as well as 4 and just hope it will come back, personally.

It's less liking/disliking melee and more down to the fact that smash 4 tournaments tend to attract a larger turnout. My area used to feature melee, but the TOs lacked the time to do both tournaments.

Low from what I've seen. Smash 4 seems to be much bigger here.

I'd look on Facebook for a community/group in your area. Whether there is one depends on where you live.
