I played a guy called Manny a bunch of times today (and the other day, if it was the same Manny). He primarily used green palette swaps for his characters. He also won most of the games, although it was usually pretty close. Very fun matches, he was a great player.

Currently doing the postgame stuff in the HD remaster of Final Fantasy X. Blitzball sucks. Besides that, I'm replaying Fire Emblem: Awakening.

I really like this. I've put these to use several times in For Glory and they've been pretty useful. The forward A variation of the Ledge Flip is what I've been using most of the time. I have SD'd a few times using it, but like you said, that will improve once I start to understand the timing...
