Bamesy

I'm going to share something with you, and I need you to remember it. Remember this lesson, whatever you do.

The lesson is, remember this memory.

That's the lesson. Remember this memory.

Understand that, but know properly what this means.

It doesn't mean you should re-count your memories to insure you still have them. If you spend all of your time on thoughts, you'll run out of things to think about, and eventually be left only with thoughts to think about.

Just like with memories, moments in time that have passed. If you spend all of your time on memories, you'll never remember anything else but what has passed, and eventually all of your memories will be of remembering memories.

What does remembering this memory involve then?

If today will be a memory in the future, then to remember it clearly, you have to be here and clearly understand this moment. If you're not here now, if you're spending here and now on a task like remembering the past or thinking about the future, your memory of this moment, here and now as this happens, in the future won't be about anything but thinking about the future or remembering a further past.

In the future, what would be the point in giving attention to this moment, if you weren't even paying attention to this moment when you were here?

What would be the point in remembering the past, when you could have just been there when it happened directly to you anyway, but missed it?

So, to remember this memory, means to return to the moment that's happening directly in this moment. If you don't remember a moment, it's because your attention wasn't there during that moment itself, and you can at best fill it in with whatever is clear around it, from the moments and content around that moment, but it's not a memory because you weren't there to memorize it.

If you can't memorize something, it's because you're not there during the memorizing process. If something exists where you are in a given moment, you have the opportunity to remember it with optimal clarity.

This act of memorization happens every moment, whether it's the moment itself being memorized, or whatever moment in the future or past attention is on during the given moment. The difference is between memory itself, and the memory of memories.

If you give attention to memories themselves, each will be foggier and more subjective than the last, and fall out of clarity, becoming difficult to actually memorize.

If you give attention to this moment, your memory of now will always be clear, and it will always be available to you without needing to do the act of memorizing during a later moment, you'll simply remember and have it with you when you need it, because you were there.

Why give attention to the past if you weren't there when it happened? Why give attention to the future if you won't be there, if you're not even where you are when thinking about the future? Why give attention to either if you're not remembering now, or will you just remember this moment at some point when missing a moment in the future and thinking about the past?

So, to remember this memory, means to return to the moment.

I'm asking you something. To always remember this memory.

So, I'm asking you to always return to the moment.

To get everything out of here and now, with as much clarity as possible, means to return to here and now if you find you were elsewhere in the given moment, and remember this moment we're sharing now. This memory.

Understand, Grand? Remember this memory.

Remember this moment.

Return to here and now.

Where are you, right now?
