I can confirm from my experience that jumping too close to the ledge screws your double jump. It drives me nuts. I hope Sakurai and Co tighten this up soon.

I'm 90% sure I've had it happen on both. I'm unsure if it happens offline or not since I mostly try to play online. edit: made more sense.

That did cross my mind and so I experimented with running off vs jumping off and discovered that running off only gives you a single jump. The instances where the 2nd jump has failed has been after a definite jump from a good distance from the edge. Initially I thought it may have been cool...

Nice guide, bud. I learnt a lot, it's just a pity I still doesn't stand a chance because the lag online is so chronic. :S Timing is all rooted and I miss everything. It's like I'm still playing in 2014 and my opponent is in 2015.

Thanks for the tips, dude. I'm extremely bad at Samus and really struggle to string anything together so hopefully I can pick up some of these tricks.
