Hmmmm when my controller broke could it have damaged the black things that hook into the stick box in anyway to not read input right? I thought maybe it was a rotational problem but when i opened my other working controller they looked the same

I recently broke my new smash bros white controller's stick box and then replaced it with a type 3 stick box from a classic controller which is exactly the same type of box that was there before. The problem is that up and down do not work, but left makes the cursor go down and left while right...
