Greetings everyone, i'm sorry for the inactivity.
School has started and i don't always have time to work on the guide.
I consider the guide to be ready but not finished. That's why the title does no longer include "(In progress)"
So, this is what happened in this guide update:
I know it's small, but there will be a bigger update when i have time.
- Added the changes that happened in 1.1.1 and how they might affect the styles of play.
- Editing some parts of the guide to sum things up better.
For one, my Sm4sh hype has been revived with this patch so it's actually really fun to talk about right now, which will motivate me to completing this guide.
Thank you for your continued support.
Greetings Smashers and mostly Lucas players!
A new patch is out, and Lucas happened to get some buffs!
Did you expect that?
I sure didn't, but i felt he was lacking in some areas so it's very welcomed!

I missed the deadline i set for myself to update this guide. I apologize for this.
This happened because i suddenly had things to do, i started to go to a local tournament and smash meetings. I've had so much fun at these events so far.
I will try to play Lucas even more at these meetings and tournaments so that i can finally get some matchups up in the guide, with the help of the Lucas community, of course.
I will update the guide as soon as.. I feel like it, really. When i started this guide i put in so much time to it, perhaps too much time so that i got bored with it.. Like when you play a game so much that you just stop because you want to save the fun and then you forget why you loved the game and quit playing it.
But i feel like i'll start soon.. I still want this guide to be as good as possible.
I'll work on it extra hard. This is going to be a good update, trust me.
Until next time! Have a good one!
Hello everybody. Time for a new update.
This time, i have added:
-And that's it. It was exhausting to add and to perfect it all into a table.
- Frame Data
- Duck Hunt to Stages for Lucas
If you've read the guide before, you might find that things are very different now.
This, is what has been changed with the guide:
This was done because i thought the guide was a big mess. It all worked just fine, but there was a lot of clicking on spoilers inside of spoilers and so on.
- The moveset breakdown has been sorted into a table.
- The whole guide has been put into "Spoilers"
- Fixed typos.
Now, things should be more clean. And things will be even more clean in the future.
I have plans for a future update, this will be a big one. It will also be the last one for a while, as it will fill out things that i personally find to be missing.
One thing, that i can say already is that i will make the guide look nicer and not just a bunch of text. Pictures between the /Spoiler/s will be added in.
Other than that, i will add four more topics, some terminolgy and a technique or two.
I'm exhausted. I will start working on the next update in a day or two.
Thank you for your support!
Hey everyone! Another update is up!
This update contains:
Upcoming content
- Added technology
- Perfect Pivoting, how to perform it and its uses
- Jump cancel upsmash and how to perform it
- Ledge trumping, and what do out of it!
- Pros and cons when it comes to stages for Lucas.
- Which stages you should pick and ban
- A kill option, PKF off-stage (Thanks Snackss!)
- Up-tilt OoS as a mixup to n-air OoS (Thanks Lord Retardus!)
- Some updated thoughts on PKT (Again?!)
- Teching(wall tech, ground tech) and why it's important
- Other things, nothing comes to mind right now. But there is more.¨
Hey you! Yeah, you!
Is there something missing in the guide?
Then tell me! I'll add it ASAP and will thank you in the special thanks section of the guide!
EDIT:
Other than that, when i'm out of things that i want to put into the guide i will instead work on the looks of the guide.
It is kinda messy at the moment..
This also turned out to be more of a guide for the game in general, as Lucas. So i'm gonna have to sort things out soon.
Hey everyone! Back with another guide update.
Terminology is something all communities use a lot, and the Super Smash Brothers community is indifferent. In the Smash community it doesn't matter if we talk about 64, Melee, Brawl, PM or Smash 4. We still have the same terminology even if you can't L-cancel or Wave-dash in Smash 4.
- Terminology has been added to the guide!
- OoS(Out of Shield) has been added to techniques!
- Frame data for n-air has been added to the moveset breakdown!
This reminds me, i should add Perfect Pivoting to the guide. I'll do this in the next update, so there's actually something in that update, lol.
Out of Shield is super useful and can save you from some situations, usually being a n-air or up-special out of shield. I also included some examples of characters with their good OoS option.
Also added frame data for n-air into the moveset breakdown. This frame data hasn't been confirmed, but it's probably accurate.
That's the update i had for the guide today!
Thank you for your support!
Thank you extremechiton for the Z-air combos!
- Added video demonstration to the "Down you go!" combo.
- Fixed some typos.
- Added Z-air combos!
Hey everyone! Out with the first guide update.
So much feedback after only one day, man! Thank you everyone!
Here goes! This is what has been added!:
Thank you all of helping me out and perfecting this guide! We're far from done yet, so keep on exploring!
- When and how to kill (Shoutouts to O Rai for the inspiration to add this!)
- A new technique! (Shoutouts to kmac$ for the reminder that this is a thing!)
- A variation of the d-throw -> b-air combo i came up with that does even more damage! A video has been added, demonstrating it! (Shoutouts to phili for telling me and making the video!)
Remember: THERE ARE NO BOUNDS!
... Well technically there is, but it's to motivate you to think outside of the box! Do that and nothing can stop us from discovering new techniques and combos!
You will all be mentioned in the end of the guide!
Thank you for today!
- More accurate pros & cons
- Added a combo - "Down you go!"
- Updated thoughts on d-air and its usage.
- Updated thoughts on Lucas' grab and its usage.
- Added info on up-smash when the opponent has to use a get up option. Also added a panic air-dodge bait against aggressive players who try to land on top of you.
