For a first guide, I knew it wasn't perfect, not telling much about Bowser's moves and what options he can do with them. Not to mention technical frame facts could have been provided, and other flaws like that. I'll keep that under consideration for the next guide to come (I'll try something with Smash 4 most commonly). I think I did somewhat of a decent job on the guide, considering my reviews so far approved, but pointed out missed facts and ideas that could've been used. I'd like to say again, this is my first guide, admittitably based off how I play Bowser more than how others play Bowser. With that said, I guess it was kind of stupid when I said keep your Bowser fast (dashdance with Bowser lol). Perhaps what I meant was have a good reaction time when playing Bowser. If someone attacks you from a short hop, you have the options: Shield, then Up-B, Side-B, even jabs would work, and if you're at a low percent, you can crouch, making you unflinchable, and do down tilt, or even up-b.
As Animage has pointed out, there were a couple things I missed.
-Bowser has the ability to crawl. You'd want to do this, of course, when you're at a low percent, and then you could down tilt when you crawl to your opponent. This is most used at small stages like Yoshi's Island and Fountain of Dreams.
-How did I forget crouch canceling? And with Bowser of all people? I guess I'm stupid.
You can dash towards the opponent and then when they're about to strike, crouch cancel, and then down tilt for attack options. You could also crouch cancel into Up-B. I personally don't do this kind of tech often, but when I do, it's a mix up of what I usually perform.
-Speaking of dashing, I forgot to mention that as well. Bowser's dash attack makes him kind of ram his opponent with his head. I do this move at a time to strike, thoug not often because my opponent could easily shield then grab to counter that option. Bowser's dash is also kind of slow and risky, so it's best to stick with other options now that CC and other techs are now in mind.
-I still say Bowser's (at least my Bowser's) defensive game is using Up-B whenever you can. I of course don't mean spam it like nuts, but you do this kind of move when the opponent uses a smash attack or does an aerial from a short hop, and they get sent flying. Up-b can kill even at normal percents like 120%, and if they're at a little less percent, it will still send them flying giving you the opportunity to down-b, jump-cancel, and then up-air to finish them. Not only that, Up-B is invincible on frame 0, so it's going to be difficult to avoid unless you're smart enough to shield. If I had to take my iPad, take video fotage of my Bowser vs. say a Marth or Falco showing you the power of this move, I would. I probably should, only when I have the time. Though like I said, spamming this move will lead to you getting grabbed. Don't use it too much.
-Huh, fortress hogging. Perhaps I should mention that.
It's another thing I don't do much as well. I usually use this move trying to go for the ledge, but end up falling into my doom instead. I'm usually fine just simply going to the edge and down-tilting to finish my opponent. Though needless to say, no matter how much I do it, mastering this technique and knowing when to use it can lead to great predicting and edgeguarding. Though most of the time, I'm fine with down-tilting or short-hopping then doing down-air on the edge. I should also say don't do this against any fire emblem character.
I hope to improve on my future guides as I know what to mention, the technical facts, and how to overall use the character and how that character's strategy provides a nice and clean path to victory.
