INTRO
Hi! My name is Cocho. I wanted to write a little about myself and summarize this guide along with the video.
Before you ask, I'm not a pro but I did want to share what I've learned about Pikachu with you guys.
The video will focus more on setups, uses, combos, techniques, and those type of things. Things that are more general.
The written guide will be more technical, showing damages being dealt, kill percentages, and so on.
For all the kill percentages, I chose Robin (which is a middle weight character) and I kept raising the damage until I saw the red lightning come out. The stage I chose was Final Destination and Robin was standing in the center with no DI. I don't beleive the DI matters with the red lightning coming out of the character since 99% of the time it means death.
These kill percentages aren't exact because characters have different weight and each stage has a different distance to the blast zone. If you're wondering the differences of killing percents from the middle of the stage to the end of it, I've done a little testing and its seems to be around 30. For example, Pikachu's forward will kill from the right edge to the right blast zone around 65%, then from the middle to the right blast zone around 108%, then from the left to the right blast zone around 130%. I'm sure there's some kind of scale factor with the weights, but I'm not worried about that. :p

Good for juggling at low percentage
Kill Percentage: ~208%

DOWN-TILT
6%
Can trip opponents at any percent, has to be pretty close to Pikachu.
Kill Percentage: ~290%

FORWARD-TILT (Can be tilted)
10% Up (Does the most damage, kills from ledge ~130% and looks terribly funny)
9% Forward (Forward-Up Tilt is better but this will probably come out whether you want it to or not)
8% Down (Can trip opponent the opponent at low percents)
Fast start-up, good for getting enemies off of you and interrupting slow start up moves.
Should you be using this for a kill from the ledge? Probably not xD But if you do, good job.
Kill Percentage (Middle): ~204%
SPECIALS
T-JOLT
4%-6% depending on how far away you are.
T-Jolt hitting in air will always deal 4%
Good for full hop/short hop spamming & forcing an arial approach
Can also use and chase t-jolt as an approach to force shield, then you just grab.
When recovering from high up, you can spam T-Jolts to hit edge guarding opponents.
Kill Percentage: At 999%, this attack will send your opponent across the stage!

SKULLBASH
Great horizontal recovery, it isn't really used for anything other than that. Really slow and punishable. Try to grab onto the ledges from underneath them & don't always use this. Mix it up with wall jumping & quick attack for recovering.
After trying to intercept/gimp, since skull bash isnt the fastest starting up and lauching, you could time it so you grab the ledge just after your opponent to ledge trump them. This forces them off the ledge and lets you go for a back air. After this, you'd want to get back on the start and attack them when they try to grab the ledge since they won't have invincibility for grabbing the ledge a second time.
Kill Percentage fully charged: ~119
Kill Percentage uncharged: 300%+

THUNDER
Spike near cloud does 6%
Any other part in the thunder does 8%
15% when thunder hits pikachu
Spikes at top
Invinciblity frames once it hits pikachu
To kill off the top, you'd need to full hop & double jump to get the thunder high enough so it doesn't spike.
Up throw into thunder is a true combo that can KO at higher percents if opponent doesn't DI. Noobs on FG don't always DI ;)
Kill Percentage at base (no spike): ~123%
Kill Percentage at base (with spike): ~134%

Quick Attack
Can cancel sliding off of an edge, sliding off of an end of a platform, or when you slide down a sloped surface like a tilted lylat.
Just don't kill yourself ;)
Kill Percentage: ~276% on 2nd hit
AIRS
NAIR
8% on start-up (Sweetspot)
5% if you hit them afterwards (Sourspot)
Kill Percentage sweetspot: ~184%
Kill Percentage sourspot: ~300%

FAIR
Hits 5 times
9% total, with the 5th attack dealing 3%
On a grounded enemy, you can grab them afterwards if you cancel the attack by hitting the ground.
Kill Percentage (Last hit): ~248%

BAIR
Hits 8 times
8% total, last hit dealing 3%
This attack keeps you opponent with you during it's duration. When used off the stage, you control this attack & fall down with them either stage spiking them or just leaving them very low. Try toadstooling after this or wall jumping into a quick attack to get back on stage.
Kill Percentage (Last hit): ~219%

DAIR
2 Hits, one in air, one when Pikachu slams into the ground.
18% total, 12% then 6%
The 2 hits register as a true combo at low percents (can only hit both at low percent)
Kill Percentage: ~179%
SMASH ATTACKS
Forward Smash
18%-25% sweetspot (Ball near the end of the lightning)
15%-21% sourspot (Before the ball)
12%-16% Supersourspot (After the ball)
Kill Percentage: ~108% (Sweetspot)
Kill percentage: ~147% (Sourspot)
Kill percentage: ~135% (Supersourspot)

Up-Smash
14%-19% Sweetspot (Touching pikachu)
13%-18% Neutralspot (Tail hits in front of pickachu
7%-9% Sourspot (Tail hits behind pikachu)
Kill Percentage: ~105% -

Down-Smash
Hits 6 times
13%-18%
Great for punishing rolls (Start reading them!)
Kill Percentage: ~160%
GRABS
Up-Throw
4%
From about 80%-120%, if you opponent doesn't DI out, you can follow up with a spike'd thunder that may lead to a KO depending on damage/weight.
Kill Percentage: ~196%

Forward-Throw
10%
At around 30%, on most characters, if the opponent misses the tech, you can jab lock them.
If the opponent isn't the right percentages, they may try to airdodge and land into the floor. When they do this, they lose their invincibility once they have that animation that occurs from hitting the floor. Punish them during this landing lag.
When higher than ~40%, the opponent usually tries to jump away, so dash and forward-air after the throw.
Kill Percentage: ~390%

Back-Throw
9%
Try this near ledges and start gimping.
Kill Percentage: ~215%

Down-Throw
8%
Could go dthrow into upairs to other aerial (or another up air)

Can't really explain it, you can get a sour spotted upair in front of you after a dthrow, to a fair into the ground, regrab. :p
Kill Percentage: ~224%

Wait until they get out
Next to a ledge, they will wall down in an uncomfortable position. Try to follow up with a back air for an early kill.
OTHER INFO
Dash Attack
10% as Pikacha leaps (Sweetspot)
6% as Pikachu falls from his leap (Sourspot)
Kill Percentage: ~140% on start-up
Kill Percentage: 300%+ late but is safe at sweetspot kill percentage because of knockback

JAB
1%-2&
Hold A to jab the mighty head of pikachu
Near the ledge, you can just jab the opponent off of the stage if they're in the space between you and the ledge.

Ledge & Recovery attacks do 7%

Crouch
Can crouch under many projectiles & some smash attacks. If the attack looks like you can crouch under it, then you most likely can.
SUMMARY
Kill Options (In order of most reliable in my opinion)

1. Back Throw from the ledge then gimping offstage with aerials/thunder/t-jolt (Better against certain characters)
2. Up-Smash ~114% (use with T-Jolt)
3. Dash Attack ~137% (use with T-Jolt)
4. Thunder (At base) (with spike): ~134% or ~108% near ledge
5. Forward Smash ~108% (Pivot or space it)
7. Forward tilt from ledge ~130% (Very nasty looking)
7. Up-Throw ~196% (Hopefully dead by now, but you gotta do what you gotta do lol)
7. Up-Throw to thunder ~100% (opponent can D.I. away, if you're using alot of back/forward throws, they may already be DI-ing up)

Thunder whether it's spiked or not can kill them at any percent depending on how you edgeguard them. Pikachu's back throw covers lots of ground to then throw them off the stage with.

Back-Air can kill at basically any percent if you can bait a grab at the edge of the stage, letting them break out, then following up with the Back-Air.

Of course, these don't work all the time, you just got to adapt ;)

Definitely good for a beginner Pikachu player. The only disagreement I have is your assessment of down throw. I personally use down throw all the time as it is one of the best ways to start an aerial combo. I only switch to forward/up throw once the opponent is out of percent range for down throw combos

Yeah dthrow is great, I didnt use it much when I made the guide. I use it to keep people in the air with up airs.
This review is very informative. It teaches a ton of the specifics of Pikachu and even has a video to help make all the explanations easier.

Only problem is that neutral air was forgotten in the video. Other than that, this review is perfect for your needs.

Yeah I completely forgot about that xD I would just say to use it Out of shield and the fact that if you use it early enough in a short hop, the entire move animation completes allowing you to land with no lag. Same with his dair, though that requires stricter timing.
Covers a lot of things an experienced Pikachu player already knows through trial and error, but with it's in-depth look on percentages and things of that nature, this is nothing short of a fine guide for both beginners and intermediate players!

As an aspiring Pikachu player, I found this guide to be very helpful and informative. Lots of good detail about Pika's moves.
Thunderjolt still in a ball kills at 777% At the edge of lumiose city omega to the corresponding blast zone [lucina/robin] doesn't kill going to the opposite edge from one edge, and doesn't kill from the middle of the stage either]
Very nice guide! I learned quite a bit about pikachu which I didn't know. already. The video aid made it very easy to understand, and generally it had a lot of good information, though one thing I feel you didn't stress enough is how good Pika's Nair is.
