Game Versions
Smash 3DS, Smash Wii U
NOTE: WORK IN PROGRESS I KNOW IT IS ****
Last Updated: 9/3/2015 (its d/m/y because **** american dates)

Please note this is a concise and short guide, for people who want to get some tips for Villager right away. Please check other fully written guides if you want to know things like damage, kill zone, etc.

Villager, also known as "Killager" or "Trollager" is an amazing character with zoning and stage control capabilities. He has fast tilts and specials that can rack up damage and MURDER YOU AND YOUR HOPES.

So why should you pick Villager?
  1. Good tilts that go out faster than Sanic
  2. Small character, opponents might hit
  3. Aerial game so strong
  4. Ledge game so stong
  5. Powerful on center stage.
  6. Good in gimping Little Mac (and other characters)
  7. BEST RECOVERY IN THE GAME. you cannot gimp a Villager. YOU CANNOT GIMP HIM HE IS AERIAL GOD
  8. Stealing things using Pocket is OP.
  9. Spammable Rockets are OP
  10. Tree and axe are OP
  11. ALL OF THE SPECIALS ARE OP
  12. Back throw CAN KILL
  13. taunts are so Kawaii
Why should I NOT pick Villager?
  1. Smash attacks have short range. Because of this, Villager may have trouble killing using smash attacks.
  2. Grab is super slow. Not used much.
  3. Being a projectile-based char, characters with reflectors can send rockets back at you.
Lets talk about his/her moves!

Tilts

Tilts are amazing. They go out so quick. Umbrella is used to knockback enemies at a decent length, and dtilt and utilt can knock them upwards.

Air
Villager's aerial game is strong, as I said. Your Fair and Bair fires a fast slingshot that can knockback opponents at close range, but deal low damage. It also goes quick so there is almost no time for them to shield once fired.

Dair and Uair makes you pull out turnips. Three has meteor effect, and can gimp Little Macs trying to recover.

Smashes
Although Villager's smashes have a short range, they are powerful. Bowling balls have lingering hitboxes. So when someone is trying to recover, give them balls ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)‎

What's the strategy to Villager?
WIP

Villager is good at zoning and keeping opponents away from him. Use rockets and slingshots to allow some space between you and opponent.

Villager's down b also has stage control. Whenever possible, always try to plant one!

Pocket is super effective against projectiles. Some projectiles cannot be used anymore if you pocket it! Since it has a good range, don't be afraid and try to pocket things coming at you. Oh, it also deals 1.5 times more damage if you send it out.

Matchups!
WIP

Little Mac
With Villager, everyday is Little Mac hunting season. With his bad recovery, it should be easy to be knocked out the staged and gimped. But still, be careful since Mac is strong on ground. You should always try to make fights aerial based to give him a disadvantage

Mario
Mario can reflect your projectiles with his cape. Do not try to recover using side b.

Bowser Jr
Bowjow here is similar to villager, as he also has good stage control with down b.

Not any more useful than the in-game manual.
What he said...
The Villager's recovery has no hit box on it so it is fairly easy for another character to Dair spike you or run off and do a Back air stage spike.
Timber is not OP. It has a ridiculous amount of startup and ending time with such little range that most scenarios its not worth it and the axe is usually just better than the tree even if it has quite a bit of landing lag.
You mention Little Mac MU being amazing because you have a good air game/edge game but you don't mention (also applies to Mario) that if Little Mac gets close to you that your going take a lot of damage and also leave out that you can shutdown his ground approaches with gyroid
Explain the random factor on Dair/Uair and bring Nair up in the aerial section .
The cons section needs to explain he has difficulty fighting combo oriented characters if they can get up on you and he is a lighter character so he can die earlier than others from a strong attack
Basically go more in depth on move properties and the matchups
Stating the obvious
