We can unite as a massive force and inform Nintendo, Sakurai and Namco Bandai of our complaints and desires for dlc. WE NEED TO SHOW THEM WHAT WE WANT.


We need to inform them through email, twitter, videos or any social media what we want and we can make a change through numbers it just up to us to not sit around crying and do some thing about it.

Tell them why we love these veterans and why they should return.

I'm happy the game is complete but come on cutting a character like wolf who is a semi clone and a villain for no reason makes no sense. People enjoyed using him more than the other cut characters who i also do not believe should of been cut, except maybe snake. But to take him out and add 3 straight clones who most people care less about, especially dark pit just doesn't add up.
I'm hoping he did that because he is making a Veteran DLC and he know that wolf and the other veterans maybe even Mewtwo will bring in the cash.

As much as i'd like for this to work, not keeping my hopes up. From my experience, Petitions don't work at all with Nintendo for the most part. That being said, i will support this 100%.

It may be, but i mean, he kind of proved his bias with this game honestly, and he broke some of his promises. He brought in Clones despite saying "No clones in this game", and gave Kid Icarus alot of representation only because its his newest franchise. He even gave them 3 reps. despite only having 3 games(and one of the reps. is a CLONE no less), i dont see Mother having that kind of stuff, or Starfox despite having way more games than that. Plus Mario got 7 freaking reps. and a clone, why can't Starfox/Ice Climbers/Mother keep the little things that they have left? There's no reason Sakurai should've wasted time making clones instead of characters that people really wanted, and he only did it out of bias obviously. We as the fans have a right to be mad, and a bit selfish.

In the end, sure, this may prove fruitless, but it's not like we have anything more to lose. Last I checked, the OP is asking people to "be civil" and "politely request", not take up torches and pitchforks and rioting in the streets like some of you claim.

I'm in complete agreement on this. Nintendo as a whole has proven time and time again they dont take fan requests into consideration. Nintendo will do whatever they want, and pestering their twitter with petitions for new characters is never going to work.

That being said I do believe Nintendo will eventually go down the DLC road for Smash Bros. Not because of fan requests but because of money. Nintendo desperately needs to increase their profits right now and DLC would be an easy way to help that. I'd imagine they could make a lot of cash by selling DLC characters like the ones listed here for revelatively little time, mony, and effort. Given what they have done with Mario Kart 8 they would be stupid not to try that eventually with smash.[/quote]

This is just how the industry works. You want to get the attention of the big guns? It can't be just one or two people, but multiple. What you call "pestering" is what the company sees as interest. "Hey, these people really would like to see this happen, they send their comments all the time about it. It could prove to be a financial gain for us." This is speaking from experience, and having some help from people inside the field. It works, but only when there is CONSISTENT demand from MULTIPLE people.

Never did anyone say the games looked bad (imo, each character is beautifully rebuilt, the new stages are gorgeous, the music amazing, really look forward to downloading the OST and listening to it) - the purpose of this topic is to gather interested parties and request additional content. Whether or not Sakurai "deserves" a break is irrelevant; he's totally capable of ignoring the requests if he truly is that tired. Otherwise? No harm getting his attention.

Yeah, although the only reason i know this is because of my experience being a Mother fan. :\ Ironic huh? But considering the DLC they did with MK8, it could work here. Although, there is the rumor that you get additional characters from linking Wii U and 3DS, although Lucas, Wolf and IC are not among them, and i'm taking it with a grain of salt.

First off I wouldn't try for Squirtle or Ivysaur, seems pointless. If you're doing that then you might as well be doing one for Pichu too.

Seems good to me. Those 5 are perfect to come back. I would focus on them first if anything.
