This is everything I have been saying on the Stat Fox Zero board...and let I'm just a trolling hating on Zero because my, "Fur-bait" is gone. I'm so glad other people have joined the Board saying the same things I have been saying. And on a another note. I've noticed a lot more people coming out and saying that Assault was the better of all the newer Star Fox games made thus far.
That's the funny thing too, the moment Zero was revealed to being the same "Star Fox vs Andross" story, the majority started to show their appreciation for Assault and even Adventures, because despite the flaws they had which even some know about and dont mind unlike some people, they expanded upon the series lore further than just "Fox and crew kill Andross" over and over. Ironically before Adventures you had this included in every Japanese copy of Adventures, which not only explained how screwed up the Cornerian army is and why Falco was absent 'till the end of Adventures, but how Andross came back. It was brief yes, but the fact it happened shows that they could've easily reused that same method the Captain used to bringing him back in a sequel, and I think Dash would've been perfect for this as while there is Andrew, he's too incompetent to really do anything like this.

By the way, it's ironic if they're calling Krystal furbait as literally the entire series on its own is such, but in some cases which i've said before, they'll try to defend it.

Literally Wolf is just as much fur-bait for the gay side as Krystal is fur-bait for the straight side. But yea. A better and more expended Assault type game would had been the best Star Fox game made to date. The only real conplaint about Assault was switching from on-foot to the Arwing/Landmaster which could have been fixed with a button prompt to call the Arwing/landermaster over to you. But all well, what's done is done.

Did you just call Wolf fur-bait for gay people? ... I would be shocked, but because it's coming from a Krystal fan, I can't say I'm surprised.

Again, rude. He is honestly that for people who like yaoi furry stuff. Krystal is that for people who like straight furry stuff. Both of them are normal Star Fox characters for you know, normal people. Also I feel like you're judging the whole fanbase off of the idea that we are all entitled brats, which we are not. If you don't like her fanbase, stop coming to the Krystal thread. Its as simple as that.

I think the fact he tried acting like only one side calls him such makes it even more amusing as the gay thing's been going on since even before Krystal stepped in. Assault was what really got it going with Wolf being gay furbait, but the Fox and Falco thing was around long before it. Regardless the series as a whole is on its own merit.

Careful, all of you. This is not the time or place to act like a bunch of hypocrites.

How about we just say that Wolf and Krystal both have a niche of fans who find them attractive, and that it's not a knock against either of them?

Well, if he is rude, I find TheLegendaryFoxFire just as rude. Because apparently he's trying to say "Wolf got support from sexual appeals in homosexual and furry fanbase", which, as a counterargument or not, is more offensive than those calling Krystal as furbait or whatever it is. You know, furbait is offensive enough. "gay furbait" is twice as so (also, you disregarded the existence of fan girls?).

Sure, it's not impossible, but if you were to compare, "Literally just as much" would really offend one. While Krystal is set to be attractive, at least for Fox to "fall in love in first sight", Wolf is merely a "physically stronger rival", with no hint on any "gay" or at least "appeal" stuff.

To be honest. If I saw the post, my response would have been similar. Seeing as one offends someone you support just to justify their own character, defending is understandable. But when he gets flagged and the original one didn't, that's a bit unfair in my opinion.

Anyone who doesn't have their head in the sand can see the whole gamut of shipping and sexualization isn't limited to Krystal. I believe that's what foxfire was trying to say, that it goes both ways. And you know what? He's right. I also don't encourage resorting to personal attacks, so it's disappointing to see you'd think that's an appropriate response to a statement made about a character you happen to like. To be frank, neither you nor ZeldaMaster are objective to me in the least. You're both on record saying you hate the character, you don't appear interested in mending fences, and from what I can see, you'd rather keep this futile infighting going for as long as possible. When you lash out at one part of the fanbase, you spit into your own reflection. We're on the same boat and we both want to see an excellent game. We both want a third, and maybe a fourth Star Fox character in Smash Bros. So why has overwhelming negativity dominated so much of the conversation for 13 years running? It's embarrassing.

Yes it isn't limited to Krystal, but when one is to reply to an insult by further insulting ANOTHER CHARACTER for justification, I'm not happy with it.

Basically, I find foxfire's post offensive, and while ZeldaMaster also did and got flagged, foxfire didn't, so I feel a bit unjustified.

Sure we're on the same boat, then explain WHY foxfire said that in regard of Wolf and WHAT he actually wanted to say if in case I misunderstood.

To put it like this, when it comes to this sort of thing with Star Fox for some reason, Krystal is called furbait in some situations, this is ironic because not only is Wolf, Fox, and Falco the three most used characters in gay shipping or gay material in general, enough that its equal or more than the amount of stuff Krystal has, but the series as a whole is furbait on its own.

Anyway not that i'm one to say it, but perhaps getting back on topic is in order

Interesting articles here...

http://wiiudaily.com/2015/07/star-fox-zero-platinum-games/

...

Btw, sorry I've been away a lot more. Busy busy.

...

Also, I don't really have anything to sa to the argument that was happening in here recently. Seems it's being hashed out well.

Yeah, all the Star Fox characters are pretty much equally susceptible to furry fans and their pairings and stuff. Have been since before Krystal. I'm not a fan of this stuff myself. I just like the characters and the game for their own canon merits and would rather forget about people's non-canon imaginings.

The point that was made here however is that many Krystal haters like to say she's at fault for furry porn from the franchise when she's only one character from a franchise full of characters that get depicted and "used" the same way, and have been since before her time. I'd rather this not be a point of discussion, but whenever someone singles Krystal out for her "art" I find it ironic. It's about the silliest of "arguments" against Krystal around.

And Other M is widely considered to be the worst game in the Metroid series. That really doesn't give me hope for SFZ, Miyamoto and the other famous Nintendo developers have become divas (except Masahiro Sakurai)
Developers have been temperamental women? Famous female opera singers? What? Dude Miyamoto is not the director for Star Fox Zero. Quit it with your unnatural hate for Miyamoto. Everyone ****ing makes mistakes. Star Fox Zero is probably going to be fun anyway.

I don't hate Miyamoto, I just think he's past his prime and is out of touch, that is all and I meant they have kinda been quite temperamental and stubborn, Sakamoto's involvement hurt Metroid: Other M, Miyamoto's involvment hampered Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Platinum just kind of admitted that working with Miyamoto is hell

My comment was take way out of context lol.
Delzethin and -Krystal- Are the only ones that got what my message was about. Thank you both for not talking it out of what my oringal context was.
And At Logo, If you can't see the amount of of people that at into Wolf for being Gay as the same amount that are into Krystal for being Straight then you aren't really paying attention. Of course you can not be Gay, like me, and still like Wolf and be Gay and also like Krystal. I'm simply stating how no one throws around the Fur-Bait at Wolf supports but the moment a Krystal one comes up the Fur-Bait card is being mass repainted. If you are offended by that message then maybe lighting up and don't got out of your way to go places where you are looking to be offended by.

Edit: Jahkzheng gets where I was coming from also.

The answer is obvious: We aren't gay. While Krystal is canonically paired with someone, she is much more obvious to be blamed on the appeal issue. Wolf on the other hand, since most of us aren't gay, we won't find him attractive or stuff, this even a furbait. Sure you can say so, but that's only because you're trying to justify the issue by further worsening it.

If you DO think the portion of gay furries are "literally as much as" straight ones, then I'm afraid you're really biased.

Nevermind, If we talk about Krystal's moveset everytime we vote, that will really help us out. And since the stupid votes by the idiots of Smash (the Goku, Shrek, Steve, Wreck-It-Ralph, and Spongebob supporters) will likely be tossed out, we should be fine

That reminds me of something else I wanted to bring up: focusing on how often Wolf gets shipped with other guys misses how likely it is that he has a lot of straight female fans.

I think we get it in part because we know your intentions. Seemed clear enough what you were stating originally. Have to say this latest comment is confusing even to me however, heh. I assume you're talking strictly of the deep recesses of the furry community... that part of it that is mainly interested in pairings and all that business... since you appeared to generalize these characters' fans just now under that umbrella.

There are a ton, the undisputed vast majority even, of Wolf fans that don't care about pairings or even know about such things. Some may even hate the notion. Yeah, for every furry that's way into Krystal "art" and pairings, there's Wolf one's too. I understand that's where the disconnect is with those that blame her for "art" but give the rest of the cast a pass. But if we're talking about fans of either characters, the vast majority are still pretty far from being deeply involved in or knowledgeable of things in the furry community. Many are just fans of the games and the characters, simple as that.

A very small fraction of the Krystal haters have any investment in some lewd headcanon. Many many more are people that dislike everything after 64 due to mainly gameplay that they happen to associate with Krystal's arrival in the franchise, and/or they like bandwagoning on a hate train for uninformed reasons that may be influenced by sentiments shared in the furry community. Like is the case with bandwagoners though, they may not be aware of all the reasons they're "supposed" to feel the way they do. I bet a lot of those that call Krystal "furry-bait" are just parroting others and have no idea there's a whole lot more to that story. I'm speaking only of the vocal "haters" however, and I'm defining "haters" as those that simply hate something for little actual reason other than just a reaction. There's yet another faction that don't like Krystal for more legit reasons and they're often more reasonable obviously, stating they're not a fan of her character for lack of depth. Some of these people can see her as a Smash character with potential even, but aren't a fan of the character herself. Some don't like the whole Fox Krystal relationship because it made the game weird to them... but would likely hate a same sex relationship in the game even more.

Basically, the whole furry community sentiment is a pretty unique and small part of how these games and their characters are interpreted and I wouldn't say most of what you see on the internet is necessarily related, at least not directly.

I'm not going to get into this argument since this is a Krystal thread and I have a lot to say on this matter. I'm just going to say that yes. The Gay side of the Furry community is pretty much even or outnumbers the straight side. This also doesn't include the Bi or Trans side of things. If you rely to this comment I won't respond as I have this argument a lot.

I went to Wikipedia in regards of furry fandom and I will bring this quote out:
"According to four different surveys, 14–25% of the fandom members report homosexuality, 37–52% bisexuality, 28–51% heterosexuality, and 3–8% other forms of alternative sexual relationships."

Outnumbering? Where?

It's a bit of a misconception, from what a couple friends of mine said once.

What I find amusing, in regards to the whole Krystal-furry thing, is that Krystal has a LOT, and when I say a LOT, I mean it, of gay male fans. So naturally, I doubt they would get as turned on as straight people when it comes to Krystal lewd art. Still, it makes sense for her to be liked by gays since she's obviously very pretty and the only major female of the series, dare I say.

But yeah, the fanbase is really hypocritical, blaming Krystal for being furry bait when, well, every character basically is. Not only that, but just like it is possible for someone to like a human character without fantasizing about them, it is possible to like the Starfox Crew without having wetdreams about them.

You don't see people having a problem with DK and Yoshi, and they're pretty much animals too.

As for Starfox Zero, I honestly think I'll pass on it. The articles do not reassure me one bit. I feel the Wii U is already dead, and the last game that's probably needed (at least to me), is Xenoblade X. I don't know how you all feel about the game, but honestly the controls...they're horrible. It's like when you play Mario Kart and you wanna see if someone has a blue shell, you have to stop looking at the TV screen to take a look at the gamepad but in the meantime, good luck driving your kart safely.

The same problem also happens in Splatoon, kinda. Whenever I try to look at the screen for information or to launch an aerial strike, I have to stop looking at the screen and bam, I'm dead. So to know that Starfox 0 kind of requires you to play with both screens, it's just not agame for me. Too gimmicky.

Why would you look to see other people's items anyway.

Dude, when you have the Inkstrike, your supposed to go to a safe area to launch it or of course you'll die.

Not really silence, but at least quiet it down a bit. There will be that one person that will still show hate no matter what.
A few of the haters might even begin to like her if she has an awesome moveset and she plays well in Smash
It happens all the time with NASCAR (Yes I am a NASCAR fan), a person who hates the sport sees a race live, and at least becomes a casual fan. I call it the Green Eggs and Ham principle
