My sister is a ***** who started smoking. D=

I hate smokers. :/
While I also hate smokers, you should never hate your siblings. My mom hasn't spoken to one of her brothers in years and it makes the whole family uncomfortable. Just not a good situation.

Solution:
I hate about every member of my family except for 3.

I'm not a big family person.

EDIT:
Need it be said, I have 1 'true' friend offline that lives near me. And an ex (we still love eachother and talk) that lives a 2 hour drive from me.

So I can say I actually care for an amazing 5 people in this world of millions.

Well I don't think you should hate your family unless they do stuff like torture you (I'm talking stuff like whipping, and they never, ever and I mean never pay any attention to you whatsoever.) My family gets a irritable at times but I don't hate them.

Ladder finds good fights, even if you lose a lot it's still worth it because you'll improve.

I'm playing Sheik for the short ladder, only like 4-2 right now. Haven't decided to play it much.
im too intimidated by lag and just dealing with the people

Whose friend code are these?

I posted before about how I had the “allow multi player in basic brawl with anyone” hack on and was playing for long then a few time it come up in the character select screen “requesting friend code” on a player, after clicking it some friend codes appeared in my list but they all say “Awaiting Registration”

I just wanted to find out who they belong to so that I can ask what hacks they had on to achieve this, it would really help the SSBB community because if I know the hack used. next time I find a good player I can request his/her friend code simply using the wii.

These are it:
4597-1122-1364

4511-6806-9166

3695-1498-3430

5456-4254-5715

1504-7319-8976

4425-5109-8355

0044-5383-2468

I think they wanted a 1 on 1 because the request appeared after I beat them like 6 times in a row.

I don’t really know how the SSBB friend finder works (last I tried, it said something like its taking too long or something) anyhow is there any way to type these in to the SSBB friend finder so that maybe it can scan the smashboards database?

thats a nice hack, but unfortunately you'd have to just..well look at the friend code people have listed under their names :\

Steel shouldn't of directed you to the social thread.

1.) No there is no way to track down the friend codes.
2.) There is no way to find whos friend codes those are. You have 1 in a million chance.
3.) You can probably find the hack they used in the smash workshop. Ask in the Q&A for assistance.

Your WiFiKnight sucks, and if you go ROB I've been studying the matchup and I won't fall for this weird **** **** that I did the first time we played.

So explain how you're going to beat me. ;)

PS:
Sister got postponed 2 days. ^_^ means I get to do this.

Why...

This was the original thread... hope you enjoy...

Why is it that any of you can possibly find online play fun? I used to be a wienie and play online, just like all of you. Then, I went to my first offline tourney, and placed 4th out of about 40-50 people. I finally realized: Offline tourneys are funner, way funner. So as I progressed in offline tourneys, I slowly did worse, and worse, and worse. I stopped playing wifi, and went to another offline tourney, and got 7th out of about 40-50. I decided to look at the pros and cons of online play compared to offline.

Online:

Pros:

It's free. Nothing like just staying home and playing some dudes online.
If there's no one to play with offline, there's always online. I choose not to play at all, but some opinions can change, and that can be an advantage.
Cons:

LAG. It happens a lot, and it helps take your skill away.
You don't necessarily get that feeling of competition online. If you're face to face with your opponent, you get to get that feeling of I hope I can beat this guy. Nerves will happen at first, but then you'll get used to it. PLUS, you can make friends like that.
You might as well be playing a LVL 9 cpu. It's virtually the same thing.

Now, I'd be more than happy to hear your story on why online's better. Or, if you're optimistic, try to look up an offline tourney around your area and see if you find it fun. I'm sure you will, and you'll make friends to play online.

I hope so too...

Obviously we're all 'wienies' because we play online. That's a given. You progressed in offline tourneys and yet you did worse and worse? A little self-contradictory I think. I don't even know what point you were trying to make with that paragraph.

It's free. Nothing like just staying home and playing some dudes online. If there's no one to play with offline, there's always online. I choose not to play at all, but some opinions can change, and that can be an advantage.
It's also 24/7. Offline tournies don't happen all the time unless you want to travel the globe for them.

LAG. It happens a lot, and it helps take your skill away.

"It happens a lot"? There's always lag. Learn to think of online Brawl as a separate game from offline Brawl and you'll do just fine in lag, seriously. I'm beginning to think you've never played on WiFi or at least you don't understand how it works. You get the same feeling on WiFi because you know you're facing a human player. Fighting a player is not in any way like fighting a Lvl 9 cpu. At all. Ever. You fail for even thinking that.

Now, I'd be more than happy to hear your story on why online's better. Or, if you're optimistic, try to look up an offline tourney around your area and see if you find it fun. I'm sure you will, and you'll make friends to play online.
When did anyone in this board say that online is 'better' than offline? Sure we play on WiFi, but does that automatically mean we think it's better than offline play? And where the heck do you think you can get off assuming that no one who posts in these boards also does offline tournies? I really, really do not like you right now. You mention making friends a lot; I find it hard to believe a condescending person like you has many friends.

Some advice: Next time you want to make a post in a board to tell the people there that you disagree with all of them and think they're all 'wienies', try to be a little bit nicer about it. I don't care if you don't like WiFi, but people who play on WiFi are not a racial classification that can be bullied and converted to playing offline exclusively. You play your offline, and we'll continue playing both.

Good day to you sir.

i love people that never do research on the online players that frequent the ladder also do very well offline

so to spam several threads just to say offline is better is such a moot point

we know offline gives us better input delay, guess what? we can still be good online and offline

who cares which mode you prefer as long as you kick ***

Because statistically speaking there's a percent chance 1 in x brawlers will enjoy NWC Brawl modes.
I used to be a wienie and play online, just like all of you. (WTF lol)Then, I went to my first offline tourney, and placed 4th out of about 40-50 people.
So wait, you played solely on wifi then went to your first tourney and placed 4th? I don't believe you. If you placed 4th, fine. Either you had played offline matches previously or you were playing children.
Cons:

LAG. It happens a lot, and it helps take your skill away.

Lag doesn't take your skill away, it actually opens your eyes to the game in a way that you can only achieve in training mode. You learn the ways in which the Wii is processing your input commands. you learn the ways in which your characters react to the Wii's interpretation of your input commands. "Lots and lots of files." ^^

Competition? Yeah. Nerves? wow. you haven't played the ladder, son. Nuff said on dat.

Same as lv 9 CPUs? Nah. I dunno about you, but my LV 9 CPUs have just mastered duck taunting. Once I can get them to SD I'll be more inclined to share your sentiment (but don't bank on it).

I played offline matches, yes, but it was my 1st offline tourney, through many online tourneys. And I never played a multitude of people, just a few of my neighbors.

And so you see the importance of online Brawl! :)

"All too easy."

For more info on what you just pointed out go here:

Heh ok well I see you've already been there. Ugh. There's no use debating -why- offline is better than online, because it's a given. Your original question was how could anyone find it fun? We have our reasons, it's like being in love, friend. You just have to know it, no one can explain it for you. That thread above does however provide a keen insight into why online is important if you are to truly succeed as a Brawler, and it's in the match-up experience. Unless you're going to tourney's constantly, Wifi will remain the single best way to test your might against others, and the best way to find someone who can beat you, which is the only way to learn.

i had probably one of the best wifi with anyone match yesterday at 6pm GMT-4 (EDT). It was lagless video, but there was some input lag. whatever.. anyway

I decided to try and play with Hobs after dinner, but he just kept brawling. Back to With Anyone again. I go on as Diddy, and there's a Pikachu, Luigi and Zelda. the announcer said go and so I went off attacking them, but they weren't moving, I assume this was because of lag and stuff. Surprisingly they come to life after I hit them. Pikachu started coming after me with aggression. Luigi came in to support this player, but I backed him off so easily, and Zelda stood still letting the 3 of us duke it out. I felt they were angry at me for attacking them while they couldn't do anything. If it was, I would have thought they'd be over it next match. We play and again everyone is after me. I think everyone there was friends and just couldn't get over something so little and just kept pummeling at me, wow you kids must have issues. Eventually, player 2 joined player 3 and started using pikachu. And all the two do is run towards me with an usmash, then use Thunder. If we're stuck in a bunch, dsmash, and if i'm on the edge, shoot electricity. They just kept coming at me as if I owe them an apology. Eventually, zelda left, and some new guy came in and used pikachu. Jeez, you think Pikachu's that great? I was expecting MK's, and not a single one uses them. Sad, to be honest, They took something personally on brawl. I was thinking about using pikachu as well to throw in a bit of confusion for my own amusement, but then the game lagged so bad after the 3rd pikachu came in. I knew it was the same person because he/she came after me only as well. I could have left but they people think using pikachu to express their abomination towards me kept me playing, Do what they don't expect me to do, fools.

The reason I write this is because I feel at least one of these people are a SWF member.
p.s. If you think pikachu is that amazing, I cape Thunders. /vent.

Seriously. Online I hate facing Diddy Kongs. If there good, and it's a one on one, It's seems the only place my feet are are on top of banana peels. I trip, then they can approach as they please. I try inhaling tossing, reflecting, I still get beat. Freaking banana peels.

my friend and I do 1v1's and at random, he'll pick Diddy while I'm still using ganondorf. I practically give up as I cannot counteract flying banana peels due to input lag.

Ah today I am closer to true zen than I ever thought possible. I finished installing hbc and brawled in watb with my wife for the first time. so much fun! 2 snakes, snake marth, snake mk, ok, she only uses snake really, haha but that's cool. now all we need is a catchy team name and we can hit the road. :)

I actually don't mind playing Marths and Ikes on Wifi at all.

It's fun tornadoing through them a couple of times and then getting easy dashgrabs off of a Counter attempt afterwards :).

I wanna complain about online in general now.

Not a minute ago I literally walked off a ledge to end a match.

WALKED OFF A LEDGE AND FELL TO MY DEATH

The stock before that, I was Wifi-killed via grab release on the edge. I airdodged underneath Smashville.

T_____________________T

I hate online Brawl.
No johns. End of discussion.
