The koopalings are like a team of elites high-grade soldiers.
Bowser jr. is the second in command and the prince.

Id konsider them similar enough.
Mostly because I refuse to accept that they retconned the koopalings being bowsers children...

I normally just look through the entire thread to look if people want Bowser Jr., even if it's minimal.
I think the most I ever said was he'd make for a good semi-clone. I used to say I didn't care which of the main four Mario candidates got included as long as we got one, but then Rosalina wound up making it, and since then I didn't think BJ still stood much of a chance, at least as an original character.But you support him and even talk about him a little.

I would rather not have all the koopalings as alt it would take away the character appeal from jr. Cause jr really would not be the main attention. Also would anyone one else rather have him fighting on foot with his paintbrush?

I was skeptical when I originally saw him in the css leak, but after seeing just a snippet of him in action I like him sooooo much
His animations are all really fluid and adorable; and the vehicle just seems really unique (it has a face!) I don't actually mind that he's not on foot, the clown car is just too awesome looking

After finally finishing Super Mario Bros. U today after procrastinating on it for a year now, (3D World is such a better experience, although no Mario platformer is bad.) I'm even more in favor of Jr. than I was before. The Clown Car is just so...neat. And it's such a Nintendo icon that really needs to be repped like this. And Jr. himself, as well as the Koopalings, have quite an incredible history with Nintendo.
So...yeah, it's going to be fun maining #TeamRoy.

As I compiled these, I noticed that the aerial cannonball attack doesn't look very strong. Sure Bowser is pretty heavy, but the move still doesn't do much knockback and only appears to deal 4 or 5% damage (28% -> either 32% or 33%). Maybe there's a sweetspot that was missed?

I actually think @Rayze is right about the cannonball being a Fsmash. look at the split second slightly yellow flash on Jr before he fires.
Also loving the fact that the Clown Car essentially turns into a meteor as Jr is shot out during his B up.
Now I'm pretty much convinced the tongue attack is Dtilt. Jr is even crouched in the Clown Car.
For the last gif is... is he running? they look like kirby feet.

I think Jr.'s moveset will be largely based off of the second battle with him in New Super Mario Brothers U.

Possibly but we may see an entirely new ability that Bowser Jr. or the Koopa Clown Car possesses . Probably for a final smash

One of the things that annoys me is that if the Koopaling alts are true, what's going to happen to Morton, Roy, and Iggy? Iggy is way too tall, and Morton and Roy are giants. Morton would practically be the size of Bowser in Smash Bros.
They have to fit in that tiny clown car and not present any differences to gameplay? That's kind of dumb. They could be sized down, but that's even more dumb for such an arbitrary reason as this.
It only really works for Ludwig, Lemmy, Wendy, and Larry.
