Trust me, I've seen plenty enough from Miiverse. There's probably nothing left to top the Powerpuff Girls, really. I say "probably" because it's certainly possible there's someone on Miiverse doing God knows what.

I can remember Sakurai saying that he wasn't just going to let characters from other companies join in unless it's a special case. Mega Man was in "a class of his own".

My guess is that 3rd party characters probably will have to be extremely special. Shovel Knight would be awesome, but his chances may be slim even with a significant backing.

Hmm, I'm not quite sure if my requested character would fall under that special category, all things considered.

I'm starting to think that I should've voted for a different character. Maybe Yuga.

I'm gonna guess it's some developer/console baloney and cheese sandwich thing (meaning characters with a lot of Nintendo console games would be more likely).

Which is why i voted Simon Belmont (Captain N Joke).

OK, so I'm really stuck right now. It's Miiverse related, and I can't find anywhere else to post this, so...
Way back in late December, I participated in a FNaF RP with someone on Miiverse. It was actually fun at first, but after a while, I wanted to do other things, and it was getting difficult to think of responses. But she wanted to continue. Every single time I made a post, she'd appear out of nowhere and ask, "Wanna continue the RP?". But I just don't have the heart to say no, and I worry that I'd upset her if I did. A bit more recently, I explained part of my situation to her (the part about having difficulty responding), and we were able to continue the RP for a little while longer. But now the problem is starting up again. And she's constantly asking me that same question again... I can't say no, and I can't ignore her either, because I don't want her to get the impression that I dislike her or something. And obviously, blocking would most likely leave a bad impression as well. So basically, I have no idea what to do.

I'm an expert of crashing Miiverse RP's, so I don't really know too much about actually being in them. :p You could always try politely explaining that you're not interested anymore.

Not a roleplay, but I had a kid stalk my account one time because I rejected his friend request. I tried to tell him nicely that I don't accept random friend requests. Needless to say, I blocked him after he kept bugging me.

Back to the topic of Smash: I think Sakurai's rules on 3rd party characters were that they must originate from a video game, so no anime or cartoon characters. They must also have been on a Nintendo system at least once. People will fight tooth and nail for Goku, but they're wasting their breath.

I like how he points out that Smash is a fighting game and not a sports game (not sure how that even makes sense in the current context but...).

If he really thinks thats a good point then he should be complaining about WFT, not Bandana Dee. :glare:

Heaven forbid they take down the fetish artwork, too. They're wusses about that, too. I mean, keeping order in the code of conduct isn't in their job description.

By the way, a Nintendo rep made some things clear about the ballot...

"I can certainly understand your interest in if third-party characters are eligible for the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot. I want to assure you that you are able to submit any video-game character for this ballot. While we are unable to guarantee your suggested character will become a Super Smash Bros. Fighter, rest assured, we do take all feedback into consideration."

Which means any video game character is fair. So Adriel can preach about Goku until he's blue in the face, but he won't be getting anywhere. Seems they're adamant about non-game characters.

This post upsets me quite a bit. He just named two of the characters I'd hate to see in Smash.
OK, I'm sorry, but... Let me explain myself here.

I know K. Rool is a really popular choice and has a TON of supporters here on SmashBoards, but I've seen clips of his boss battle in Donkey Kong Country, and he appears to be about twice the size of DK in that game. Considering Donkey Kong is already one of the "big" characters in Smash... How would they make it work? And don't get me started on his size in DK64... I mean, I do apologize to K. Rool's many supporters, but think about it.

And Porky... Really? In Brawl, isn't he a boss character? He fights inside that machine, right? And I recall it being pretty big, too, even large enough to STAND on top of it! So again with the size problem. Yes, they COULD scale it down, I suppose, but would it really make sense? Would they be able to do it without having it look strange when compared to other characters? I'm not so sure, honestly. But either way, we did just get Lucas confirmed, isn't that enough to ask for in terms of Mother series representation?

Again, sorry for stating this kind of opinion here, but I've been trying to hold it in until now. When I saw that Miiverse post, though, I just couldn't take it anymore... I had to let it out. It also really rubs me the wrong way when people ask for certain third party characters, especially those whose series is already being represented in Smash.
Example: Zero from the Mega Man series. I once saw a request for him in the popular posts of the Smash Community, just the other day in fact, and it was rather frustrating for me...

I could understand King K. Rool in a way, with him being the original antagonist of the DKC series. Although his size is a bit of an issue.

As for Porky, I have no idea how he would function as a fighter. If anything, Claus/Masked Man would make more sense.
