This isn't like Angry Birds at all.

This is a combonation of Target Test and Home Run Contest. This is nothing like Angry Birds.

If we're going to the basis that anything that is thrown at wood structures is Angry Birds, then that means the Slingshot gane from Legend of Zelda is like Angry Birds.

Only reason I mention those 2 for the final unlockable characters, is because Pac-man is the last 3rd Party character we're likely getting and it would make sense (unless the Rayman rumored leak turns out to be true), and Mr. Game & Watch was the final unlockable in Melee.
