I agree. I would prefer if they gave awesome Mega Evolutions to lesser-used Pokemon.

If they give more Mega Evolutions to lesser used Pokémon, OU will finally have the Power Creep Smogon is afraid of. Because we clearly have to have OU Pokémon just for a Mega Evolution.
Hence, Gen 4 is master race.

Smogon's afraid of everything, regardless.

In my opinion, having more lesser-used Pokemon getting Mega Evolutions would make VGCs more interesting. We have access to so many Pokemon in that type of battle, yet you're only gonna see a select handful of them, really.

And yet, the most used Mega Evolution on VGC is Kangaskhan. Because it's S rank. I don't think that's going to change.

It's still possible. There are already some counters to certain Mega Kangaskhan sets. Maybe Mega Ferrothorn could be the one.

(Though I still prefer a rarely used Pokemon getting one)

No, not Mega Ferrothorn please omg. Iron Barbs + Rocky Helmet does like 30% of residual damage to Kangaskhan, enough for your other Pokémon to KO. That, and Leech Seed exists too.

So apparently Iwata had an interview about the "Universal x Nintendo themed attractions" thing and he hinted at possible filming and video content.
