This has been a crazy last few pages, but if I may, on that whole Earthbound discussion a page back, I agree with everything Silverjay said. Anyway, worst fanbase as a whole franchise? Easily a threeway tie between Pokemon, StarFox, and Fire Emblem.

I think Mewtwo is more likely to get in, not necessarily as a replacement, but Lucario's chances are a bit lower I think, at least to the point of him being low priority.

As far as I know, Lucario hasn't been that important in the Pokemon series as of late, but Mewtwo's going to be important in the upcoming Pokemon games, and with it's new form and all, I think Mewtwo's chances have considerably raised.

Mewtwo was also missed by many in Brawl.

Mainly because all they ever talk about is either having disturbing otaku discussions about waifus, a gaybase for Marth, Roy, and Ike, and wanting more representation for the series than it is needed (really, Metroid only has ONE ). Other than that, I'd say Starfox, although mainly because of the furries.

The waifu thing just started with Awakening and the gaybase is actually part of the smash fanbase. Not the FE fanbase.

Furries were my main reason for that, and the fact that characters are often valued over gameplay. It seems to be a problem all series with anthropomorphism characters seem to have.

Oh how DARE we have interest in a pokemon other then the starters, legendaries, pikachu and every other lame ass pokemon that gets marketed! I personally want them give mewtwo a brand new b over and buff his disable so he gets a free smash on hit. I want lucario to get a brand new b over move as well and possibly a new b move.

Anyway, I do think Mewtwo is getting in, I'm not sure he would replace Lucario. But I do know Lucario would be sort of low-priority, probably lower than Jiggs this time. Where do I come from with this? Nowhere! I call it a feeling.

The Pokemon Company will probably have a list of relevant Pokemon, and Lucario might be sligthly lower.
I'm sure Sakurai will still pass through most of the unworking Pokemon quickly, and end up with Mewtwo very high, and then Lucario beating Zoroark just because the former was playable in SSB before... but is still slightly less popular than Jiggs.

By the way, when it comes to how terrible fanbases are in regards to Super Smash Bros., what easily tops that list is Pokemon and Fire Emblem. It's because both have such a division over characters, and that is saying something considering there is A LOT of them. Typically, there are sides divided up and if you're accompanied by one side you were a threat to the other side. Often these types of discussions lead to endless flame wars, and yet in the end nothing felt accomplished and there was no satisfaction regardless on how anything went. Sometimes there was even whole movements based around deceits.

You people should of been around during pre-Brawl, it was a lot worse then it is now.

Jesus Christ, Big Bang Theory. How does that show even have a fanbase? I can sum up every joke the show have ever made pretty succinctly:

1. Main cast member makes a pop culture reference
2. The punchline is that Penny doesn't get it or Sheldon corrects them with superior pop culture knowledge - part 2 is optional
3. Main cast members make fun of Sheldon for being a grade-A autist - cue canned laughter
4. BAZINGA - part 4 is optional

the Earthbound fanbase is really united I wouldn't mess with them and on average Earthbound fans are pretty smart and well mannered

Worst fanbase of all time? Game of Thrones. People treat it like Jesus Himself arose from God's own creation. "Oh, Sean Bean this, dragons that, undeserving ******* winning awards only because of liberal Hollywood schemes this and that. Nothing more than a D-list show with subpar acting, too many characters and plots to follow, boringness in general, good guys always dying and bad guys always winning, etc. etc. etc.
