All I need is a roof over my head, and someone reliable to live with. Oh! And internet. Bahahaha~ I've got free health care and food stamps as is. <3 I swear, being lower class is better then being middle class in America, because of all the free benefits you get.

The "finding someone reliable" part is actually the hard part. After my old roommate flaked on me after I had saved up enough money for literally half a year of rent, she bailed because of some problems at home. Which I understand, but it was the day we were gonna make a down payment on the apartment. Guhhhh.

Sometimes I think it's fate though. because now i'm moving out with my the dude who's been my best friend for seven years. <3 I'm really dumb that way. I don't care for luxury. Just someone I have trust in. <3

PM is amazing for these reasons
Biggest character cast
Can be updated/customized
Large choice of stages
Diverse fighting styles
Turbo mode
-------------------------------------------
I can, with no hesitation, prefer it over Melee (not that I dislike Melee)
First, I'll say I respect your opinion and you can feel free to love P:M. I just take issue with your claim that everyone will "switch" because it's naturally "better" or whatever so I offer the following rebuttals (but I can certainly agree to disagree).

1. No Pichu. Cast isn't big enough. Also can't be all 3 Pokémon. Also it just has Roy (who is awesome), Mewtwo (who is awesome), and a Dr. Mario skin (which is cool I guess) over Brawl- and Brawl. Not that big a deal.

2. Brawl- gets updates and I'm sure there are texture hacks and stuff out there too.

3. Brawl- has Peach's Castle 64 with the moving platform having grabbable ledges (bumper is like a rock, it doesn't actually bounc). Brawl- has what is my favorite stage and touched up to be more fitting for competitive play. Brawl- also still has a wide variety of good stages.

4. I'm not even clear what this means... related to stock-control?

5. In what other game can Lucario instantly inflict 300% to himself to powerup, where Link and Ganon have OHKO moves, Zelda teleports while hitting someone with Lightning Kicks, Captain Falcon can "Show me, Show me, SHOW ME YA MOVES" to high-speed Falcon punch, he's invincible during parts of Falcon Punch, Rest actually heals you, Pikachu can QA twice in the same direction and shield-cancel skullbash mid-charge, while Thunder is a meteor smash lower on the bolt (those edgeguards), and oh yeah, Wario gets fully charged Waft every 120 frames? I'll take over the top gameplay with extra hitstun and Fox that can wavedash. Turbo's still pretty cool though (TL's up+b->up+b->up+b->...).

So yeah. P:M is still a nice game though (it's like a good mixup - it works well and you get high utility from it).

Happy Birthday, Belle! 19 tho? You might just be the baby of the board atm.
I'm not yet 18. So that would actually be me.

Happy Birthday Belle!

Also we had a school tournament today. I sandbagged versus most people (most second rounds I said, "Pick my character for me, then choose any stage you want, including Temple or Big Blue or whatever" and 2-0'd most people) but I ran into this Marth that actually knew what was going on and lost (won with Pika, then went Falco and too aggressive (SD'd going for dair while up like 60% last stock) then just... got stupid and went Ike for the hell of it, stupid buffered jab becoming a nair...). Then in Grand Finals I 4-0'd him with Pikachu (best 2 of 3 sets because time was tight). And I'm still not exactly clear how to deal with Marth's fair... I'll be off to the advice topic again.

Again, Happy Birthday Belle. I hope it's been a nice day for you.

You're just not getting high enough in the middle class. A family of 2 (i.e. a couple without kids) making $140,000 a year is still technically "middle class" [from my understanding] but they've got plenty of stuff. [I'm pretty sure the government definition starts it at ~80,000 a year for a family of 4? I'm not positive though...]

Happy bday Belle.

I don't know what having money or benefits is like. I do know what being broke is like. It sucks. I'm working to not be broke.

All these young whippersnappers make me feel old.

Just saw The LEGO Movie. Was a good night.

I haven't watched any movie in a while.
I only went to see Captain Philips because there was nothing good at the time and I had a free ticket.

I have another one right now (that will expire the day 31st), but's only valid from monday trough friday, and I don't have free time....

This. I never want to be broke again. It pisses me off just knowing that you can't do a damn thing on your own...

Lego Movie was great.
Frozen was great as well.

I do believe there is now a rated R version of Anchorman 2 this month, plus Grand Budapest Hotel is in theaters, so I recommend watching that one, along with Mr. Peabody & Sherman.

Dreamworks really had to pull the old cartoon nostalgia card this time around. Other than Shrek, I can't think of any good animated movies they have put out.

EDIT: Being broke sucks.

so i figured i should update you guys on that pokemon thing i was making
i started to do viridian city, but it isn't done yet, most of it was scripting.

here's the current version of the clunky battle UI

here's a particularly great code snippet
Code:
function weakAIMoveSelection(moves)
while false ~= not false do -- am i doing it right?
for k,v in pairs(moves) do
if math.random(100) > 75 then return v end
end end end
i also think i might change the game to a pokemon stadium type thing because i'm inconsistent with sticking with a project and i need the same battle stuff for either one. pokemon stadium gives me the benefit of set levels/movesets to work with, though (pokemon online type of game wouldn't fit with my target audience). still requires building those giant stadiums though so idk

The PGD's title is really odd...

I love shorts. They're much nicer than jeans. Unfortunately I live in Minnesota so I have to wear jeans at least 4-5 months of the year (or else be really cold and deal with my parents warning me I'll get frostbite or sick if the bus is late...).

Honestly if Kaylo were here she should've given us a Hangover movie night marathon for Happy Turnip Day.

True dat.

On another note, Vale, that script work is a damn fine start, keep it up.

I'm off to pass out now.

I wore green today. Nobody noticed why. Not like I expected it, though.

Anyway, payday is almost here, I didn't get to work last thursday and friday because I got "sick". Check will be dangerously low, and we have bills to pay.

How to Train Your Dragon is better than anything any other animation company has put out recently, save for maybe Despicable Me.

I like a lot of the stuff the animations studios have come out with.

Blue Sky Studios
Disney Animation Studios
Dreamworks
Pixar
Sony Pictures Animation

Actually, I just like animation in general.

I not only love shirts, I like people who appreciate shorts and say so (at least if I have nothing else to really go on).

I guess I say the title is weird because I'm still a minor...like, can't even vote, so I'm not sure why people would celebrate a drinking/hangover day... is that really why people so fervently celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

Also, good luck with the bills to people with jobs and not school. I still have high school so I guess I should appreciate it while I can, but it's kind of hard to enjoy...

Welcome back Vex!
One does not know how good one thing is until it is gone...forever, like my 1300+ hours of my pokemon gaming life (Albeit, most of which was spent egg farming in the most intense fashion while watching TV presumably).

WB Vex, and hi Terios who's prob long gone.
i would say i watch movies every few months, but NOBODY EVER TELLS ME WHEN THE PIKA MOVIE NIGHTS ARE.
Next one is prob gonna be next Thursday night. :colorful: 9pm superior time zone. I'm thinking World War Z since it came in second in the last movie poll. (....plus I'm lazy and already have it downloaded.)

& high school was aight. Didn't party until college though, which is probably a good thing but definitely wasn't as crazy fun.

Parties were always too socially exhausting for me. The prospect of ***** makes a man move mountains though.

EDIT: It's still shorts weather!

does four-six people playing smash and consuming dangerously unhealthy amount of doritos and mountain dew count as a party?
if so, i go to parties all the time
