what is with all the ivysaur hate? I secondary PT, and I truly think that Ivysaur is mid-tier at least. Squirtle I think is the best of the pt, but chairzard and ivysaur are pretty much even.
Ivy more than makes up for the lackluster recovery with quick, damage dealing attacks and good projectile. Also bair of ridiculous range is great for edgeguarding.

@Aggression: I'm sure if you ask anyone who's actually played brawl in a tournament they'll agree that yoshi isn't bottom anymore, most will agree he's mid and I've heard a few people say he's broken when I use him and I'm not exactly the best smasher in the world.
And samus is hardly worst in the game, sure now that her annoying bombs don't blow up on contact anymore is pretty lame, but her grapple edge guard is really good and that charge shot can be a nasty customer if you hit with it.

K, i think we need to clear this up.
Ganondorf is NOT bottom of bottom tier, the CAPTAIN is.
Seriously they both suck, but when G-dorf actually hits, its much better and worth the lag then when falcon hits.

Sonic is nowhere NEAR top. priority and kill moves are way too low. same goes for shiek. This si not melee, fox is not that great anymore, mid-low high maybe. metaknight is way too HAX to be that low. he is top for sure. Snake at the bottom? you're kidding me, right? he has projectiles, traps, approach ground and air greatness. also top. Pikachu is the new peach, with hax Dsmash, proirity, and great recovery. Ice Climbers have even more ridiculousness going for them this time around as well, definitely high. Zelda and GnW are top and hig/mid respectively. GnW is counter Camp, and Zelda is Both combined. dedede has a chaingrab, this is enough to suffice mid-high tier. Ike is WAAAAAAY too high. too predictible and no projectile. he has power, so mid prolly. Peach is no longer good either. nrefed Everything including jumps. ROB and Toon Link have crazy Fairs and Bairs (respectively) and have great recoveries and projectiles. Link and Mario are with peach. go much lower for just about the same reasons. C.Falcon is without a doubt the worst character. no approach, priority, projectile and only decent recovery.

Yoshi doesnt have a bad defensive game. He has a bad shield, but its still workable, just used less, and replaced with pivot grabs a lot of the time.

I think the order in which the top and top part of high are all up for questioning until a tier list comes out. Only Snake and MK have an assured spot at the top the top tier, i dont think anyone doubts that. Marth, falco, D3, G&W, and the ROB ( and maybe TL and wolf) are all candidates for the rest of the the top tier and will probabaaly the major tournamnet winners under the top two.
