Introduction
------------------------------------------------------
Here is the Brawl Back Room's sixth release of its tier list. Unlike the past six month release schedule, this list has come [just over] nine months since version five; we feel that the game has reached a certain level of maturity that does not require as frequent updates - this period of time may be lengthened for subsequent releases.
Also unlike our last release, the BBR has 'split' from rule set creation - and with the unity rule set becoming a growing standard voters were requested to take the unity rule set into account. However, as always, votes placed were based on their own opinion.

Character Movement Explained
14. Toon Link ±0 (Middle to High)
16. Wolf +6Although Toon Link didn't move any spots this time around, he did make the jump from middle tier to high tier. One of the things that contributed to this was his recent success in large US tournaments. His ability to nab top spots in tournaments like MLG, Brainshock, SiiS, Pound, and W/HOBO caught the attention of many. Toon Link is a versatile character that can deal with almost all situations using his abundance of available options, given that the player behind him knows how to mix-up his options. Overall, his moveset is solid, he is generally good in the majority of stages and has an above average MU spread. Combining this with his recent tournament success, members of the backroom feel that he is good enough to receive that minor bump into high tier, eliminating him from mid tier.
18. Donkey Kong +2Wolf skyrocketed up the tier list in v6, the second biggest rise so far since Sonic's +8. One of the biggest factors that led to this is Wolf’s top-10 MK matchup, which at -1 is something he definitely has over the characters he passed this round. He also has solid matchups overall and results that are fitting for a character in upper-mid *points to Nike’s charts and John#s’ winnings table* While Wolf does have three solid counters (D3, Pikachu, and Wario), they are all relatively uncommon in the current metagame and therefore do not hold his performance back significantly in tournament. As seen from Fox's rise in the last tier list, the general opinion of the BBR is that a good MK matchup and strong results are more important than having three uncommon counters, so we see Wolf getting a similar boost towards the top of mid tier.
Come back [for more] later =)Donkey Kong finally achieves his only rise since the first tier list! Two important factors can be attributed to DK for this. The first, arguably being the most significant, is a huge decline in the usage of King Dedede; without that horrid match up baring DKs placements in tournament, he is able to place much higher than ever before. DK also has an improving (but still not great) match up with MK. Not only Will, but other East Coast and Midwest DKs have shown that the match is winnable with enough effort. These two factors, combined with the fact that DK fares well against the rest of top and high tier (such as having an even match up with snake and marth), plus steady results, leads to a warranted rise on this tier list
