So as some know, in certain Pokémon games it's possible to get stuck with no way to continue (usually from somehow having no possible way to surf or fly from a waterlocked location).

But surprisingly, the game this is most easily done in is Platinum. Here's how you do it.

- NEVER get the Old, Good, or Super Rods. None are mandatory.
- Have no Rare Candies.
- Obtain a Finneon through a trade.
- Go to the Postgame island area and deposit all but a non-surfing non-flying Rock Climber (say, Machop) and a Finneon with Surf.
- Surf to the German hiker's house. He wants to trade a German Magikarp for a Finneon. Do the trade.
- You are now stuck on his house island forever with only a Machop and a Magikarp. Without a Rod or Rare Candies, you're trapped forever.

It's funny how it's comparably easier to get stuck in Platinum than it is in earlier games.

I wonder if they will fix that in the potential Diamond/Pearl remakes if that trade option is back. Assuming pokerides won't be a thing there....

Oh yeah. My premium runs out today too. Screw it. I'll dip into my pockets for another year of premium. The blue banner is kinda nice.

I would pay for it myself if I had my own bank account, but I don't and I don't think I can convince my parents.(Even though I have $150 of my own money.)

No matter how many absurdly generous ppl keep gifting me premium, I refuse to go back to the Disco Room. :p:p:p

and someone just gave me a Rash Kartana.. I already have a competitive Jolly one though and probably wont use it because of it's bad nature.. Don't know what to do with it other than place it in the Bank whenever it gets updated..

Give me another :4marth:game so I can come to terms with Awakening already.

At this point the Tellius games are at an impasse between "overrated" and "underrated" as far as I can tell within the FE community. Aside from RD's flaws, at worst I've seen nitpicks about the story and how it holds up to other RPGs rather than the FE series itself. Play them for yourself and decide.

If you search local retro game stores you'll probably get a better price than what's listed online.
Yeah, we don't have many of those here, much less with rare FE games. And I don't have a Wii or a Wiimote so whoops
Though now I remember that my cousin has both Tellius games so maybe one day, I can get them from him
Errrrm, not going to post it here, but I think some people love the switch a bit TOO much. I've found waifu porn of it.
Person: "Have you seen the Switch? I love it!"
Friend: "Oh yeah, I did, I like--"
Person: "Get away from my waifu, she's mine!"
I have an idea for an video game and I just wish I had programming skills for it

It's mostly a Beat em Up where you play as a hero with electricity powers saving a crazy dystopian city where there's war between former heroes ala Civil War but it allowed a crime syndicate to rise into power and that hero has to stop those dueling factions and the crime syndicate
Just draw a comic, that sounds like it'd be a pretty good superhero comic tbh
If you don't have drawing skills, then I got nothing :/

I have less drawing skills than a 1st grader, but I usually have my ideas expressed through other artists. My GF for instance is an artist(I always end up with artists for some reason) and she'll draw my characters and stories and such once we have the time.

The Switch port of LEGO City: Undercover has confirmed that it will have Nintendo cameos (probably the same ones from the Wii U port).

Still waiting for info about the loading times.

Maybe I'll play the 3DS prequel again before it gets released.

Who knows? :3
Welp; I'll pretty much be skipping out on the Anime Emblem direct tomorrow (as per usual with anything related to FE); there's too much of it nowadays anyway.

I don't think anyone is surprised to hear that, though. :p

Well. Straight from Nintendo.

Here are the differences between versions of Breath of the Wild.

  • Both launch on the same day, March 3.
  • Both have a frame rate of 30fps.
  • Both versions of the game offer the same content.
  • On a TV, the Nintendo Switch version of the game renders in 900p while the Wii U version renders in 720p.
  • The Nintendo Switch version has higher-quality environmental sounds. As a result, the sound of steps, water, grass, etc. are more realistic and enhance the game’s Open-Air feel.
  • The physical copy of the Wii U version will require 3GB of available memory on the Wii U system or an external drive.
  • Some icons, such as onscreen buttons, differ between the two versions.
  • A Special Edition and Master Edition of the Wii U version are not available.
Some good and bad stuff here. Thoughts?

I kinda expected 1080p 30fps for the Switch version for whatever reason, but I'll take 900p.

It doesn't personally bother me, because I'm no tech-head, and truthfully I'm probably going to play on the Switch itself more often than not, but 900p on a 2017 console is kinda messed up.

I choose to take the best from that and will ready myself to enjoy realistic splashing noises.

Granted, I'd already heard all the bad news already so there's nothing to shock me, the most new other than the noises is that the icons are different, which with the Switch having to work as a handheld rather makes sense.

Finished Arena grinding on FE6, manipulating RNG is fun but can get tedious sometimes
Like Dieck not getting anything but HP and Lck for his last three levels AND I RESETTED MULTIPLE TIMES
At least I managed to turn Roy into a beast(his last level up was perfect, what even is this rng?) because his Str is much higher than it should be but his late promotion will make him struggle through the middle portion(at least he won't need to be babysitted).
Managed to promote Rutger(he even capped Skl and Spd before it) since you get a Hero Crest on this map and holy **** 43 crit with an Iron Sword? Jfc, this is why Swordmasters are my favorite class.
Grinded Roy, Dieck, Lugh and Rutger since they are the only ones I know I'll be keeping and Clarine as the Arena healer got up to level 13.
Wondering if I should use Lillina, maybe if Lugh's bad level ups come back to haunt him in the future.

I wish I knew someone that could draw because I always have a bunch of ideas for characters and plot premises, maybe I should try writing one of them but that'll happen when I'm not lazy

I will say.

I know Zeldas are always at 30 frames per second and that the other games on display seem to be 60 frames and 1090p but...

That just seems lackluster. It'll still be the ideal way to play but Nintendo might be shooting themselves in the foot here.

Then again, I don't think most people care THAT much about framerate or resolution as long as it looks nice and Zelda does.

Let's just hope this isn't indicative of future performance.

Eh. I'm still getting it on the Switch. Never been one to fetishize numbers like resolution. They seem pretty acceptable by my standards.
