Can you please find it?There was a video with the Rosalina assist trophy though. I remember seeing it...
They're on the game disc, it's probably true.
Wrong. In Melee, if you tried to access Tamagon in some versions, you'd get a Mario trophy. However, when you try to view it, the game will probably crash (if the 2nd trophy is indeed not there).
Do not forget ditto was blocked off in the pokeball section but was still there in the coding.Wrong. In Melee, if you tried to access Tamagon in some versions, you'd get a Mario trophy.
Also, you can force Akaneia, Ice Top, and DUMMY to be playable.
So it is possible.
Which row and how many spaces up or down is she?http://youtube.com/watch?v=fdH1LhOHWPU&feature=related
Not the video I saw, but... When it gets to AT's, one close to the end resembles Rosie. I'll keep looking.
Look at how big Zelda's file is though. Most of Sheik's info is probably in there.Wait...why is Shiek only 128 Mb/b whatever the type it is? Shiek's a full character, no? So could there be data hidden on the disc we haven't found?
You. You sir. You are a genius.Doc, Roy, Mewtwo, Plusle/Minun, Dixie and Toon Zelda/Sheik (Tetra) are in the coding for Brawl. They are roughly the same size file as Sheik.
They are not complete characters, they are just in the code, under characters. They still need moves, textures, sounds and Kirby hats.
The file for them to be complete would be small enough to be on the VC. They would need place holders if they wanted to allow these characters to be downloaded, just as Pokemon does (kind of). We have place holders. There is room on the character selection screen.
Now onto music coding.
Within the music, there are 3 unknown songs. 2 are "New Features" the other is oddly named "Purchase"
Purchase, as in buy. 2 unknown features and purchase. Sounds like something is buried in the game to be prepared for something...
Downloadable content has been something people have wanted for Brawl since they announced WiFi. It would allow lots of money if they charged like 5$ a character.
I'm not sure, but so many coincidences are pointing to a feature people wanted, Nintendo would want, and would work. 3 vets, 3 newcomers. It's an equal number each. That is also a huge coincidence.
I don't know exactly what they are planning, but I wouldn't give up on some of the vets just yet.
That's interesting. Just the fact that the bare coding for these characters is still on the disc should work to support the idea. The file for them to be complete would be small enough to be on the VC. We'd all love to see DLC, but Nintendo has been really quiet on it since 06. Maybe they'll take more initiative toward it this year and start with Brawl.
Nintendude said:Some points I'd like to make and more information....
1. How do you know I wasn’t ASKED to do this on purpose for marketing purposes? I’m not that stupid.
2. Most of the characters to be released don't already exist in Brawl as an Assist Trophy, Boss, Trophy, etc.
3. If you need evidence, wait until late March/early April. There will be post-Brawl polls on the Nintendo website after the release asking what people liked and didn’t like about Brawl. Europe will also get these polls once the game is released.
4. Characters will not be the only new factors put in.
5. The characters have not been implimented based on any fan polls or desires; the staff chose them based on their own criteria.
If you want further proof, I've noticed some clever people have found traces of additional characters in the encoding. Some of those characters will be additional costumes, others will be fully playable. Most of them are costumes/alternate characters.
That's all I know of for now.
They would be unlockable somehow, or enabled through WiiConnect24What a freaking lier this punk is, I saw an alternate costume video, none of these characters were shown.
Note: People may want to actually read a thread before posting in it.What a freaking lier this punk is, I saw an alternate costume video, none of these characters were shown.
So folks, how about that? Has anyone checked the "clones" files to see if they have extra costume potential?I do not have the game rip in my hands as of now. However I had an interesting thought I believe those of you looking at the disk could check.
As far as my knowledge goes, characters like Doc, Roy, Mewtwo, etc and unused characters do not have models but just general coding or placeholders of some sort. I have read they are the same size as the sheik file while the zelda file is abnormally large.
Now, here is my thought with all that in mind: Nintendo decided to stick the models and other coding for those characters in clone files. I would check the Mario, Lucario, Marth, and other files that could use these other characters as costumes, and see if their model files are larger or not. I was thinking they would be about the size of Wario's model files since Wario has two costumes that could require two models.
I was thinking the Mario, Marth, and Lucario for example could carry the Doc, Roy, and Mewtwo models respectively. I thought this would be something to chew on for you, because the developers would not be so lazy to just leave some unnecessary files in. That would be wasteful.
For this, here is all the fighter data that I know ofI PMed this to someone and I guess they haven't read it yet. I thought I'd post it so everyone would know what I was thinking:

My point is that if the program no longer has the ability to try to access something that was once there, but isn't any longer it won't cause the it to crash. And it's not difficult to stop the program from attempting to access it.Yes it would. What happens when a program of any kind tries to access something that's not there? An error occurs. If it's just a small error and it's a computer program, there might just be a window telling you of the error. What happens when it's a console game and the game continually tries to access the content? It crashes.
