I've been getting punished a lot for wd oos lately. I feel like it's a really good opition in some cases (mostly when you're spaced farther away and have some room to move around), but I rarely see people get caught off-guard by it.

Also for your enjoyment

WD OOS won't be as safe as a roll in a lot of situations (where you need near-instant invulnerability), but there are many times that Ganons roll when they could WD OOS and react or follow up a lot better/easier.

It's also kinda funny that really only jason, joe, and tipman effectively punish marth fsmash with wd oos grab. That's a given sick punish.

Edit: Kick his @$$, Seabass!!

I think the one thing I really learned when I played ice climbers is how good WD ooS is against marth. Seriously people USE IT

If you surf and play Ganon you're the man.

I grew up surfing OBX, NC... Only surfed Cali once. But I mainly just fish now

Not sure if you guys seen these but it was **** Fox compilation I did earlier. I believe one of them where i managed to CC to tech Fox uptilt into a huge punish (The 3rd one)... so now.. Ganons must understand the importance of DI to create opportunities. I see now many top players using advanced DI so they can get their opportunities.

Almost got in 2 fights tonight, about to show those IRL fairs/warlock punches. Need to get a match recorded soon. Guy tried to rip his aluminum railing off the side of the building and stab me with it. I was ready and wd'd back. I was waiting for the chance to beat the living **** out of him. It then clicked that he was a hummingbird taunting an alligator and ran back into his house in fear.

Oh, this isn't a forum about living in the ghetto. Oops.

I'm telling you being a Ganon main in SFL is the only way to go. Ready for everything lmao. But seriously if I wasn't 5'10" and 220 solid I would have been robbed by now. Solely because of reputation.

PS moving in 2 days possibly

Ok, gonna start going to your house way more often. They'll tone down that bull**** if they see you standing next to me. Buddy will get knocked the **** out if he tries any bull**** with you or your girl.

I picked up sheik (we'll if you can call practicing her solo for an hour yesterday and playing like 2 hours of friendlies today that).

So easy. I'm already doing almost as well as with my mains. Her **** is so free, it's disgusting.

And I feel bad, but she's fun to play. I'm thinking I might use her as a secondary.

pretty cool, but not very optimal on the first and last ones. ledge drop uair is much safer and also way more effective imo. most other fox players wouldve probably teched those dairs in at least one situation.

so insane, especially the fourth one. I don't understand how you can always get the follow up in such "non-guaranteed" situations, if you know what I mean. It looks like you're getting 3, 4, 5 hard reads in a row... How am I supposed to do that 0__0

In a simple term, I condition them to do the option I want them to do. As to how you do that.. well, all i can really say is that I try to take notes of their patterns depending on where they are but in those cases where they are cornered then those options get reduced such as only being able to no tech, normal get up or roll inside or jumping. I believe its really important to notice what they tend to do and so in that way you can much more easily bait those options. Theres no clear cut answer because every opponent is different so its really up to you to figure out what they want and obviously you should always be ready to counter at least an option. Sometimes if you arent sure you can use a move that covers multiple options.

hey I never said I'm gonna switch. I said I want to cuz she's easy as ****. I'm not gonna do it though cuz I'm a good person.

If I ever do switch characters it'll probably be Falcon or Falco.

It feels so good though , that payback after years of being subjected to it.
XD that's why I only play Sheik against Sheik mains. The Sheik ditto is actually kinda fun if you don't CG lol

Well I just saw Bizz get 4 stocked by Plup... It was hard enough as it is against his Samus lol. This matchup is truly terrible. And I bet he could consistently do it with the way he plays the matchup.

I'm not sure how I'm feeling about entering tournaments lately, but I feel like I definitely need a break of some sort. I'm getting more and more involved with my school work and getting more into Game Development and spending so much time trying to get good in Melee is getting in the way of those things I want to accomplish. I still want to go to tournaments and hang out with friends and have fun playing friendlies, but my mind is just not suit for tournament play right now and maybe a break can help with that, and maybe it can't. I don't know for sure.

I would like to do doubles more, as my mentality when playing doubles is different when I have a team mate who is also hungry for playing well in doubles. If I team with someone it won't be just anybody, it needs to be someone who I feel like I can do well with, but I'm definitely not against trying out just doubles for the next few weeks or so to see how differently I think there.

Either way, I'm probably not gonna get much better at this game over the next several months because I'm just not gonna have enough time to train and study in Melee and do the same thing for both college and game development, on top of my part-time job.

i wish i knew how to be good at melee.

like i'm supposed to be a top 3 ganondorf or some **** and yet i'm still losing to people that i shouldn't lose to. idk wtf is my problem.
As much as I say to not think "I shouldn't lose to X person, I am still very much guilty of this thinking, even if it is only subconscious. It's terrible really. It ****ing plagues me every other tournament and I feel like **** after losing because of that.

I lost to a once-Luigi main who switched to Fox like a year ago and damn he straight up outplayed me so hard in tournament that I just mentally gave up halfway through and thought "damn, you won." **** mentality I know. It's crushing to know that you're still dedicated to your character yet you've hardly improved over the last year and then you get beat by someone who made the switch to Fox and learned how to play the character well enough. It's so degrading and that **** made me depressed all day yesterday and a good bit of today cause I didn't know what to do with myself. Maybe I really just care too much about winning... I honestly don't know at this point.
