I'll try to check on Skype whenever possible and I will also be around various places on the Internet discussing video games. But I feel as I have said everything I needed to say in regards to Smash and I'm just waiting for certain things to occur before I leave.

I like threads like these because it brings back nostalgic memories of the past. Nothing gets me better than reminiscing of video gaming past (even if I do embrace the future of gaming as well) .

Mewtwo for pokemon x and y and sonic for lost worlds

and 2 characters can be possibly get revealed witch got proven true today peach and toon link in september

I'm okay with Toon Link coming back largely because the series shifts back and forth between a young Link and an adult Link. Toon Link has starred in more games than adult Link in the past decade too so I think his spot is warranted.

The game probably has at least another 9 months until it comes out. Expecting any newcomers before January, in my opinion, is hoping for too much. We all just have to wait.

Taken straight from the essay itself. Apparently you overlooked this so you could quickly bash what was meant to be a light hearted essay about one of the reasons why I like Smash Bros.

Add in: Also, in some ways, I consider characters like Mario and Kirby to be like old friends because I've been playing their games since early childhood. Again, I note in the essay that they have significance because of the memories attached to them that generally involve other people significant to me like, you guessed it, family and old friends. You don't have to like the essay but, good lord, you're certainly being venomous over something totally inconsequential. I admit it kind of weirds me out how offended you are.

Olimar is DEFINITELY unique. No doubt about that.

Good read. I'm holding out hope for Snake, largely because I played the MGS games because he was my main in Brawl, although I did watch MGS4 being played a bit. Returning home also means a bit more when regarding Snake and his story through his games.

Sonic was a given due to Sonic Lost World but we were all thrown for a loop by how early he was revealed. Most of us were expecting him on the 24th with the Japanese release but this works out perfectly fine too.

I can understand some of the cynically aspects of something like this, many in my generation and beyond in the 80s going forward have been heavily influnced by the commercialism many of these mascots and characters representent as a whole. As such many of us have gotten attached to what were basically created to have us buy merchandise and continue to spend money on those properties making the owners of those properties very rich in the process.

However I would argue that many of these characters grow beyond simply being marketable to being unique icons in their own right. I mean there are alot of marketing created franchises that accrued in past times that directly copied alot of these concepts and they didn't survive simply by being marketable which to me does state that there is a certain value to the characters that we hold beyond the consumerism of their original intent.

The video this time didn't have the same impact for various reasons (Sonic Heroes, wut?), but it still reminded me of the video that he launched with in Brawl, and how the internet went completely insane. While I was 100% sure he would be back, it's just so nice to see him again, I was reminded again how BIG Sonic is as a character, no one is going to ever measure up to how enormous his reveal was for Brawl, and just seeing him in this game is so nice, because he represents some big.

His trailer is not as phenomenal last time due to being too short and not enough moves shown but rpobably because hes a veteran and he was very wanted into the series

Any way im very sure theres a very short wait for the next character a pokemon character and maybe a 3rd one due to how many days are available since hes revealing characters slightly more often now

It's rather odd how I got excited for Sonic's release for SSB4 than in Brawl. I mean, I checked that DOJO!! update and I thought, "Whoa! Sonic! That's cool!" But, I checked the Nintendo Direct and seeing him just made me scream, "SONIC! SONIC! THANK YOU!" I guess before I wasn't a big Sonic fan (I only played the classics), but now that I have played Sonic games like Adventure 1 & 2, Sonic 06 (LOL), Colors, and the amazing Generations, I was certainly more hyped for Sonic than I was during Brawl. Sonic isn't one of my mains and I am not the biggest fan of his moveset, but I am a big fan of Sonic and his games. He was certainly a character that deserved to return.

It's also odd how I got excited for Sonic more than Luigi (when I saw Luigi, I just said "Yay!" and I clapped my hands together), my absolute favorite character and main. I... guess it was because I was expecting him. But whatever! Glad he got revealed months ago just so I don't have to wait until the game is released to see what he will do and what changes he has!

Olimar wasn't even on my list. I feel like such a downer typing this but... character reveals shortly after they started this time around will never get me hyped, even if from this day forward they announce everyone i'd ever want in the kitchen sink as a stage. Why? One Word: Dojo. That's the bottom line. that website years ago, spoiled me. Now we get check out the new game and here's ten screenshots. I want to see the fruits of their work this time around and the anticipation has made me into a terrible person. I want to see characters axed and new guys get their time in the spotlight and this time around, each one exhaust me... maybe my friends olimar has given me saltmines flash backs, maybe i'm reminded how... underwhelming i personally found sonics moveset. maybe i just wanted a pokemon rival with gen 2/3/4 starters. maybe i wanted a [paper] mario with hammers and junk or Vaati! there was a time i thought maybe that's what i'm gonna see today! this first monday morning of the month! i'd love to be proven wrong. my fingers are crossed that wonder if brought back into my life.
