A Sub-Reddit Smash poll shows interesting results for the Smash Ballot.

4,610 were answered. Very interesting results, no surprise for popular characters such as Isaac or the veterans, but Bayonetta and especially Shovel Knight are very surprising!!!

Happy for K Rool & Bayonetta being in the top 8.

The more polls surface around the world the better we can vissually percieve what the hell people are voting in the Smash Ballot. (I doubt Sakurai will read millions of paragraphs, btw.)

If I were Sakurai, I wouldn't care for people complaining about clone characters, Marth and Lucina? I'm fine with them. Same with Dark Pit/Pit and Mario/Dr. Mario, they have different things going for them that can seperate themselves.

Wolf/Fox 100% fine with.

Snake, I would welcome him back with bags of maple bacon donuts (Welcome to Canada)

Ice Climbers, one of the characters I wanted to pick up in Brawl will be picked up in Smash 4.

Theres probably going to be like 5 thousand 8 year olds who want goku, even though he was in like 2 Nintendo games that are released on all consoles.

Now I think we're forgetting about the most important character to add, and that's my boy, Pokemon Trainer. Now I was thinking, that instead of having Kanto Starters, how about a region I feel gets almost no love, Hoenn. You give us Grovyle, Mudkip and Blaziken and we'll be good. Similar moveset to the old Pokemon trainer, but fresher.

I never played Shovel Knight so I don't really care about the character. Not to mention he doesn't have a long and deep history with Nintendo. Even if Bayonetta is a good game, which I wouldn't know since I never played it, I dislike her as a character. Especially her design.

Waluigi is deconfirmed so I don't know why people bother voting for him. Ubisoft hates Nintendo so I don't see Rayman making it into the game. I was never a fan of Metal Gear and don't care either way about Snake

etc.

Have you not been paying attention to their announcements concerning Nintendo or their actions?

Refusing to release their games on Nintendo and only putting out watered down ports (a long time after it was released on other systems) to "see if it sells" and refusing to release anymore games when people realize it's just a watered down port

I think it's a Reddit fascination as much as anything. Yeah, he's really popular, but you wouldn't see those kinds of numbers on a poll made here on Smashboards. K. Rool would be up there instead. There would be less "joke" votes too. Got to be honest, it's not fair for any actual character to get less votes than Goku or Shrek. I mean, sheesh. I'm obviously biased to wanting to see certain characters get more votes too.
