The Venue is an enclosed building located at Selby park.

Start coming sometime after 12:00 and be there signed up before 12:45 for melee doubles.

4:00 -- Brawl doubles
6:00 -- Brawl singles
Sometime -- $1 64 tourney!

We (as in I) are responsible for cleaning the place up so try and not make a huge mess. Also for some reason there are no red color drinks allowed inside the building.

A few people brought setups last time but for the most part we were fine, but bringing extra setups never hurts.

Rules
This will be a double elimination tournament.
* Items off.
* Ties are broken by remaining lives, then %. If both criteria are tied, then the Sudden Death match will be played out.
* First stage is random from the Neutral stages listed below.
* The loser of the first match will announce a new stage to play on for the next game. The winner will then be allowed to switch characters, followed by the loser. Apply the same logic for the third match (and fourth/fifth when applicable) if there is one. (Advanced Slob Picks)
* No stage may be used twice in a single set if the counter-picking player has already won on that stage, unless the opponent agrees to use the stage again. (Dave's Stupid Rule)
* Double Blind character pick can be called at anytime before the first game of a set starts, and only apply to the first game.
* Each person may choose one counter-pick stage to be disabled for the entire set at the START OF THE SET, after characters have been chosen but before the random stage has been picked. You may not ban neutral stages.
* Controller Mods, Glitches (IC Freeze Glitch, Mewtwo Soul Stunner, etc), and tactics used to stall a match (wall-bombing, rising pound), are banned.
* Standing infinite's (marth, charazard) are banned
* Metaknight Infinite Dimensional Cape is banned
* FF will be on in teams

god deezy this is hella far away, what happened to the 1st? o wellz ill try for another smashfest the weekend before this for practice. this is a saturday right?

Ya sorry all the saturdays up until the 23rd are booked and I don't really know of any other good venues.

I need a partner for Melee.

I'm not sure if I want to do brawl at all (even though I always place higher in that, even without having played for like 3 months XD).

Is the 64 controller BYOC? I know there were controllers there last time, but I can easily bring my own. I would bring a 64 setup, but sadly I've lost the game.

I just kind of threw that in there because a lot of people were asking me if there was a 64 tourney last time. Now I don't even know if there would be enough time to do one, and if there was one it would most likely be no double elimination and matches only one round long.

In that case, I would have 2-6 people for Brawl.

Is doubles with friendly fire on or off? (ON= Can hurt allies, OFF= Cannot hurt Allies)

Also for the Brawl Counterpicks:
Why isn't Pokemon Stadium 2, Halbred, Green Greens, or Jungle Japes in there?
(I'll still come even if those aren't added, so don't worry about being blunt about it)

My first cross country meet is on that day, and my parents don't understand that I really don't care about CC nearly as much as smash. Apparently, going to every single meet is of vital importance even though I really don't care about CC and I've put way more effort into smash and it matters to me much more. Apparently I "need to fulfill my commitment" to my CC team even though I know that I'm nowhere near good enough to even place high enough for my showing up to even matter and I've put much more of a commitment into smash. :/

Thanks I hadn't slept in a while when I posted this. Was hoping someone would point out my stupid stage choices.

FF will be on.
all but Pokemon stadium 2 will be (forgot to add them) wind and electric portions are to f'ed up.

Sorry, meant to say Hanenbow not Halbred (think you already listed that one). Understandable for the wind and electric thing.

Hanenbow is just to big. I think for the most part the matches would end up with a lot of running around, and on top of that only the bottom leaves have edges which causes major prolbems for teather recovery people. (and that stupid branch on the left side isn't real )

K fair enough.
I would have opted it to be counter pick anyway.

soap if you are going to give the game a try play with higher leveled players, you'll probably lose all the matches but you'll get a better feel for what the game could be, if you want let me know when you are free and we can work out a night we can stay at vidjo's.

and you would get 4 stocked too after not playing for so long =p

i'm gonna brush up on my falco, i suprisingly feel most comfortable with just spamming lasers=D

You should come 4% I'm telling you guys, it's not that bad, I can argue points in person, but getting back on topic i want this tourny to be sooner T_T

I'll see if I can go to this thing.
I just hope that I don't lose again ._.

o i know id get ***** in brawl at first, only till i learn some form of control. i was tryin some of that dash dancing stuff u were telling me about on a gamestop brawl setup. the repetitive fox trot into instadashdance pivot, i was getting the hang of it, there is not as much freedom as the long melee dash dancing (plus the ability to dash cancel runs, and wavedash out of anything) but its not bad, the fact that the fox trot can be repeated much quicker than melee is the key factor.

i have summer classes all during the week, but im going home again this weekend to hang out with a friend for her birthday, i could play maybe sunday night on my way back, my mondays start late and are my easiest day

o and if u columbus kids didnt see a page back im tryin to get some people over today to play some melee/brawl, its my place the same place as the last one, from like 3 to 8
