Entry fee? I suggest 10$ for singles, and either 10$ each for doubles or 5$ each for doubles.

I'll hit this up for sure.

EDIT: There were no posts when I was posting this. LoL nice.

So like, I don't mind those prices, but I can pretty sure guarantee you that people are going to be very turnd off by them and turnout will go down...

He probably mentions it for those who want to travel from say, WA, and maybe spend the night and hang out for a day before or after the tourney.

The venue's my house :-D I can house people for sure Sat. Night. If someone wants to come up friday night I need to know ahead of time. It's a pretty big house, but I share it with 4 other people and not all of them are smashers so I have to show some respect.

So yeah... if you want to come up friday just let me know...I'll try and get the night off if that is the case and I"m sure as long as I'm here they won't care. As long as you don't steal our **** :)

Might as well get a Eugene carpool going.
I'll see what I can do to pitch in for Washington's gas price. Hopefully they won't have to win just to pay for coming down here.

I'd love to go to this if there's an oc mobile going but you know george changed his number and he won't give it to me. Kinda like that lady at the dairy queen just won't give me that number.

It's only portland, so don't worry about gas. I won't mind pitching in enough for us to cover ourselves. We may come friday, if enough people go friday as well.

Hmm...any guesses on what the turnout will be? t0mmy would you have an extra seat in your car? I ask because I know the Eugene bus station is really close to your house, and I don't know how far the Portland one is from the venue.

Will there be pools, or does everyone go straight to a DE bracket? Also, seed me. ^_^

I think I want to go to this instead of At Melee's End.

Taun Taun? No idea what that means...

Yeah...the quadriple post...I was a little...under the influance... and post button happy.

__________

Also...I think everything would go straight to the DE Bracket...How does pool'ing work? (once again..noob). If anyone needs to take the bus, work and circumstance allowing, I would be more than willing to come pick you up. Even if I can't their's easy public access that allows you to be dropped off less than a block from my house.

Okay, a Greyhound ticket will cost me about $115-$125. Now convince me to do it. Who will be at this tournament besides the Twins and Eggz?

Also, who will team with me? ^_^ Any Washington takers?

The bus stop is 4.4 miles from the venue, and I plan on arriving Friday night (and leaving Sunday morning). Would I be able to get housing + rides?

As far as the picking you up, and housing you, I could definatly get that figured out. (well if I work I could try. like I said, it's an easy bus ride via public transport.)

As far as convincing you...its just...****nn, that's a good deal of money. I really want this event to be something great, but I'd hate for it to be a low turn out and have you make that long of a trek.

I'm guessing buying the ticket in advance probably saves you a great deal, so as of now trust your gut. I'll come up with a pitch later.

If I buy it two weeks+ in advance it's $108, one week it's like $115, and if I buy it on the spot it's like $125ish. For a big Oregon tournament I'm estimating around 40 players. I would be satisfied with a turnout like that. Somebody should spam this in WC Canadian threads.

I want to play Washington.

20 max seems pretty accurate. Oregon's scene is diminishing... either that or we never had a big one to start with. My best bet is you should save your money for a SoCal event instead of Oregon. That or wait for the one in WA with PC chris and what not.

honestly i dont mind pitching in 5 bucks, maybe more just to help someone get up here. might be a lot to ask of other people but if people donated it would work out well. if like 3 cars came from washington... yea that would be cool. we would have a good turn out then.

I'd donate a little bit to try and make this a sucess... Or I could try and provide some food. Sandwhiches, snackes, maybe some simple veggies. Or some pizza or something, I dunno.

Oh...also I was thinking about for a side tournament, maybe a three way tournament? 2 dollars, 5 stock, first to two wins advances? I don't know... I think it makes the game a little more like poker when theres a third person in the mix. A touch of luck and bluff to the skill...yay or gay?
