Yea, I go through this a bit as well. Since I am a bit newer to the competitive world, I'll just go through a period of time where I cannot do the most important of techniques while there are other times where I play like I should. It is normal. Everyone goes through a slump.

It's practice. I can switch between my mains and secondaries when playing people. Your mind just realizes the character you're playing and allows you to play them the right way... At least, that's how it works for me. It's great to be diverse in your character selection.

I actually up throw and then knee. Of course, the opponent has to be at certain %'s of damage. I can do it to Mario and Dr. Mario before 85%...

I am Holy, a relatively new smasher when it comes to the competitive scene. I have had Melee since its release date in the U.S, so I am not new to the game itself. I never really knew about the competitive scene until about a year ago (Where the hell was I?) and only decided to begin practicing...

Holy crap, I am doing damn well practicing. Gotta say, my game has improved a lot since last month. Still no match for the pros though :3
