It makes sense it goes from Pokemon to Fire emblem so filling in the spots. Mewtwo is obviously highly requested and ''relevant'' again so I don't see why not. Unless they throw in Sceptile to represent gen 3 remake and fill the Fire(zard) , Water(Ninja), Grass(Sceptile) trio... but I think...

I think Chorus kids are the ''game and watch'' "ROB'' of this game. That one really weird unexpected character thrown in.
