It's been a very long time since I've visited these boards, is there any melee still going down in edmonton?

I really really hope that Sakurai notices the huge success of competitive gaming and esports over the last couple years. Just look at how popular league of legends has become, and the competitive scene just keeps it going. I really hope he doesn't release another game like brawl.

it's probably worthwhile to mention that it is possible to short hop fast fall smash missles, even though it is incredibly difficult.

yeah, that'd be about right, thanks. but for the sake of argument, his revenue is not necessarily 0, depending on how he decides to split the pot he may decide to make a profit for himself. Unlikely, but possible as there isn't any information as of yet, that I've seen.

venue? time? thread? I really wanna make it out to this, even though i haven't played a smash game since the last rock paper scissor monthly. I will be trying to make it out to another one of those.

I'm pretty sure it costs 5 bucks to go from St. Albert to Edmonton. Actually, now that I think about it, I will only have to take the LRT going back home because there is a St. Albert bus that goes directly to the UofA, it just stops running after 5pm on weekends :( It's not a huge deal :)

gwiz so it'll cost a little over 15 bucks total for transportation :( It sucks cause my U-pass expires at the end of April :( oh well XD

sorry, I haven't been able to make it to any of these lately, school has been pretty demanding. After this semester I should be able to make it regularly ^_^ does anyone know if there are any regular melee tourneys?

I am officially taking a break before the tournament and after the tournament. that's just how dedicated I am :) EDIT: i should be able to bring a tv/wii for brawl. For melee I will be looking for a bus to there from St. Albert so no TV :(

dang, well it turns out the last bus from the UofA to St. Albert leaves at 5, so I am not going to this one. However, I think I could have taken the LRT and caught another bus back to St. Albert, so I'll see if I can figure it out for next time
