    The tier-antitier argument again...

I really wish I had a nickel for every time some random novice with zero tournament experience posted on Smashboards about how they don't believe in tiers.

Q&A Game Play Advice and General Discussion

Play Diddy like you would play Jiggs in Melee and you will win the majority of smash 4 tournaments you go to.

    Post Apex 2015 thoughts

Top 8 was incredibly boring. I really hope the metagame evolves so that Smash 4 doesn't become another Brawl.

Time for a new tier list?

Roy has the single worst recovery in the entire game. That's the largest contributor to him being near the bottom.

Apex series is terribly run. Come forward here and share your problems with it

It is kind of hilarious that Twitch found a better venue in the span of a few hours for Apex than the Apex staff could find with all of the months they had to do it.

Work In Progress SWF Community Voted Tier List - 3.0 COMPLETE

Nevermind. Just learned this is fan based and not in any way endorsed by credible players or the competiitve scene. Carry on.

Seriously..why is Nintendo not making a "Melee Mode" DLC?

Even if Nintendo did make it Melee purists would still find something wrong with it and opt to just play Melee. For now Smash 4 is fine as it is.

Online tourney's unfair and poorly monitored

Online tournaments simply do not matter. Do them for fun if you like and don't lose sleep over any issues that come up.

Are True Combos Good for Competitive Gameplay?

You hit them once they hit you once you hit them once they hit you once until the match is over makes for an extremely boring game. A large part of why Brawl fizzled out so rapidly. Melee style combos are perfect for this sort of game genre.

Am I insane/ an idiot? I'm trying to become a legit competitive smasher

You'll be destroyed at Apex but you should still go if you can(Same with any big tourney). Practicing alone can help you perfect some of the more mechanical techniques of the game so that you never mess them up in actual play but beyond that it won't help very much. You could practice smash...

Is there a consensus on the rules for stage selection yet?

The stage striking system does not take more than 5 minutes for anyone to grasp. Competent TOs tend to have a printed out list or have it listed in their tourney thread of legal and illegal stages for starter and counter pick as well. The only debate that really remains is what stages should be...

    Wii U LAN Adapter

It varies because the other person's connection can still be poor and the game will be laggy. But if you have a wired adapter and you play vs someone in your region with a wired adapter it is massively improved compared to wifi.

The reason I hate when people say "play to win"

Brawl wasn't fun which is why people quit playing it so rapidly in huge numbers. But you better believe people play Melee, PM, and 4 to win. The fun comes from the successful application of hard earned skill not from doing whatever lets your opponent have a good casual time.
