The HD on youtube looks really nice for streaming video, but I'm still confused at learning some things about it. That was the first smash vid i saw in HD there, i wanna start doing that for my videos. It seems that it judges which quality to make it based on the resolution. 640 is their high quality, but thats how I record my smash videos anyway. recording them any higher is pointless as thats what the wii outputs. the main advantage of the hd quality on utube is the bitrate. so now if i can get a native 640 video with the hd bitrate... thats where its at

whoa! this is a news flash to me! what happened to &fmt=18

&fmt=18 is for 'high quality', which is different than HD (high definition). It all depends on what kind of quality the original video is encoded. Some videos can use the high quality function because they have a better rate than regular videos. HD is a few steps above that.
