Sounds like you have a significant bias behind this poll

But yeah, I think Smashers should just play their favorite Smash games and STFU about which is better. Thankfully, I think only a minority openly dis other games in the series

Just fyi, I think you're generalizing everyone in the Melee scene to be "Melee Elitists". "Melee Elitists" are actually just a tiny portion of the scene. Soo next time don't frame an entire scene because of a small group, will you?

Melee and sm4sh have different strengths and weaknesses. To people who prefer melee sm4sh is in fact not equally good on the other end to people who prefer sm4sh melee is not as good as sm4sh.

That being said if you think posting a stop hating post on smashboards will actually stop reddit/twitch chat from being anti sm4sh you may or may not be delusional.

why does my opinion matter? i'm definitely going to say melee is the best, but that's because it aligns with MY values the most. YOU should determine which game is the "best" for YOU because YOUR values may or may not be the same or similar to mine.

yes the community should shut up about this but it's not going to happen because of obvious reasons.
