How would people feel about Rick Wheeler/Ryuzaki being the Captain Falcon present in Smash 4 instead of the usual Douglas? I think CF could do with a change from the past games, mostly because he's my favourite and I don't want him to be a stale brawl-port when it comes to his moves and visuals.

A change of character might be interesting, but Rick Wheeler doesn't seem as fleshed out as the Captain Falcon we know. You mentioned you don't want Captain Falcon to be a Brawl port, but Rick Wheeler has few to no identifying characteristics of his own, even fewer than the original CF's...whose moveset was made up pretty much for 64. In short, I don't know how that would work out. Perhaps you have some ideas?

A few things:

- There are no indications that Marth's moveset has changed.
- The F-Zero anime and Rick Wheeler do not exist in the official F-Zero continuity.

I rather like the way Falcon plays and don't want any major changes in his moveset. Also, the anime's generally poor reception and lackluster sales of its tie-in games (GP Legend, Climax) are partially responsible for Nintendo shelving F-Zero for close to a decade, and as a huge fan of the series, I'd prefer if everything related to them remained far, far away from Smash.
