Tonight I went to my local Gamecrazy store to check on what their plans were for Brawl. I have lost my reservation receipt and had a few questions. I walk in and the guy immediately compliments my shirt (Alex Ross painting of The Joker) and stares at it for a few seconds (a little creepy). I told him about my little receipt problem and he clarified how I would just need a phone number. I then asked him if they are planning a midnight release/tournament for Brawl (they did this with Halo 3). His reply:

"Uhhh...I don't really know. Maybe...It's not as MAINSTREAM as Halo 3."

I said "Thanks" and promptly walked away before my fist made contact with his face. Anyone else disappointed by their local stores not having midnight releases?

If you preorder at a Gamestop, I am pretty sure you can retrieve your game from any Gamestop outlet. Well, anyways... check other ones?

Hollywood Video has been completely wiped out by Blockbuster where I live. That stinks about no midnight release though.

My advice is just go to sleep early, wake up at the break of dawn and pick up your copy of Brawl. Going to sleep early will probably be the hardest thing like going to sleep on christmas eve.

Tell me about it. I was looking forward to a tournament akin to the one they had before Halo 3's release. It would probably be BS anyways. Items on very high and stages on random.

My gamestop doesn't know if it will have a midnight release because of the weather. However, I do know that my local store had about 300 copies reserved, mine being one of them.

That's unfortuantley not true. I've asked about it.

Also, the gamestop in my area is planning a midnight launch, so I'm glad I preordered it there.

Whether anywhere in England is having a midnight launch or not, I'll be outside the shop a few hours in an advance. Midnight launch would rock but it might attract too many people and I might not get a copy... *le sigh*

My Brawl is reserved under my brother's name and he works on Sunday. So hes not gonna get it at mid night with me. And he works before Gamestop opens until after Gamestop closes.

Yes it was! Somebody noticed! Watching that guy's videos has affected me negatively. I'm more aggressive than I used to be; especially when it comes to Brawl.
