Yoshi's Island

hey I was wondering who here's played Yoshi's Island? I think its one of the best platform games ever. I got it for gameboy awhile ago but now i'm going for 100% completion!

i almost forgot how ridiculously hard it can be though lol
(last one i did was in World 3, Monkey Madness...those monkeys kept shooting watermellon seeds and i'd fall to my death, so annoying XD)

also what other games do u use in?

Yoshi's Island is pretty fun. Yoshi's Story, on the other hand... yuck.

Yoshi's Island is an amazing game.

And I use Yoshi in a lot of Mario spinoffs I played, like Mario Kart for example. Using Yoshi back in MK64, good times...

i remember how addicted i was to this game, i was like six or somethin but this game along with SMW made me a huge Yoshi fan. i have it for the super nintendo and i still play it, im an artsy person so i really enjoy the artwork for this game, how its all chalky.

The one for the DS isnt as good, (too many babies) but its still a great game, i just have to turn the volume all the way down or wear headphones because my freinds look at me wierd when they hear crying babies comming from my DS.

i also use yoshi in all the mario spinoffs, most recently Strikers Charged. Yoshi's away team entrance is the best of them all IMO. im also quite desent at mariokart wii, yoshi on the dolphin dasher is a combonation to fear!! got me a few top 10 world records, and one world record for about a month. (of those who play online)

Yeah i pretty much play Yoshi in whatever Mario game hes in from Mario Kart, Tennis, Golf, Party etc. Not that i only use him hes just always been a favorite. I guess i first chose him in mario kart for N64 because he was like a dinosaur heh

i think the art and gameplay of Yoshi's Island sets it apart...i may have to look at gamefaqs for help after i've done what i can trying to get 100%

Yoshi's Story was fine, it just had too many hearts for me. thats the only bad thing i could think of, it was great in all other aspects

In my opinion, it was just too unfocused, in much the same way titles like Jak & Daxter (1) was. There was no real "goal" you had in mind when you played, it was just a scavenger hunt. Which was fine in and of itself, but the difficulty was also less than exciting, and the rest of the game was more or less... bleh.

...Again, much like Jak & Daxter was.

i want to ask a question and this vaguely refers to the subject, but if you've played Yoshi's Island DS, does yoshi have fangs? or is it a shadow?

none of the art suggests that yoshi has fangs yet it appears like he does in the game. personally i think they're fangs, i dont know why yoshi would have them but they are a blueish white color, not really a widely used shade color, also they remain in the same place no matter where the light is or how yoshi is holding his head so that also lead me to believe that they are fangs.

IDK maybe one of you guys can tell me, it just seems out of place to give him pointy teeth.
