What up everyone! New smasher here. Nic Mendoza aka DロロM aka DOOM aka Knee_of_DOOM reporting for duty.

As you may have deduced, I'm a Falcon main. Blood Falcon to be precise.

Just finished up my very first Melee tournament... Maybe I saw some you there? at MLG?

Hell of a way to get started.

Made it to round 2 though! (on a bye) Almost made it to round 3! (cause my opponent almost got DQ'd)
Got absolutely destroyed every. single. game. I. played. It was awesome.


I've also recently become aware of the fact that there is already another smasher that goes by Doom...
I figure if there can be an aMSa and an Amsah, there can be a Doom and a DロロM.

Shouts to Prog, Wife, Armada, Blea Gelo, Westballz, and ChuDat in particular for being so friendly and welcoming, and helping make MLG an amazing experience for me. You guys are the best. Teach me your ways.
Gonna try to go to Kings of Cali 4 since I live in SoCal.

Welcome to the forums! Falcon is always a secondary for me (mained him in 64 and second him in all others since I have to main a Fire Emblem character ), he's too much fun. Anyway, you live in the perfect area for Smash (jealous) so you'll definitely be getting better at a pretty quick rate. Wish you the best!

I certainly hope you're right! I do feel like I've been getting better quickly, but I am definitely still waaaaaaaay below the average competitive player. I was a Kirby main in 64, though I was the epitome of casual back then.

Can anyone recommend some good first steps to take on the forums here? Not only am I new to the site, but I'm new to forums in general. Anywhere/anything I should be posting to get advice on how to improve?

Kirby main in 64 huh? You pass my first test. but you failed the next two by being a Falcon and Ice climber main. But thats ok. Falcon and Icees are both great characters.

Haha well Falco's my secondary in Melee, and I do love me some Laker-colors Diddy Kong, so we have more in common than you might think.
