Ya Know what would be cool? Palete change effects.

This is unlikely, but what if CERTAIN palete changes slightly altered a characters stats?

For instance, if Sonic got a palete change into shadow, he became slightly slower but also gained a little more attack power.

Or if "Fallen Angel" Pit couldn't jump as high, but his arrows had a longer range.

Or Fire Mario' FLUDD losing force but his fireballs gain more power.

What do you think of that? got any other ideas?

I've thought of this, but I wouldn't like it if it were defined by the costume. I like to be able to pick the costume I like and not have to worry about my costume being lower tier than that other Sonic's. Maybe there could be a choice separate from costumes, like weapon element type.

Sounds like fun, but when you think about, the palette changes were made so everyone feels comfortable playing as a certain character. (i.e. I know a guy who loves Link, but hates green.) If each palette change had different mechanics, or even costumes, they would basically be new characters, which also need palette swaps. It's an endless cycle! :O

Well they could add asthetic (spellng anyone) changes. Like Mario's blue sut could make him trow blue fireballs. Not changing the effect, but just the way it looks. Pit could fire Black arrows in his dark suit instead of the initial blue arrows.

Then mario could just be the Doc, but he's (Probably) booted, it's quite pointless to do such a thing...

But would it be cool? Yes, very much so.

Aesthetic*

That sounds like a more reasonable approach. More customization then just their clothes.

Thank you for the correction. I'll use it in Bookworm Adventures. Anyway, there are some many changes that could be made. Dark Link = Dark bomb explosions. Blue Kirby = Blue Star, when he spits you out. Little details, that not alot of people will notice, but will give the game just a little extra...just a little.

Here's a good one. Supposing there's a Dark-Samus costume in the final build. . .What do you think happens when the FS is used and the power suit comes off?

And don't nobody tell me that Dark Samus is a symbiotic alien parasite fused directly to the armor or anything, this is a hypothetical question.

No, no at all. Your costume should have no effect on you. There should be character customization, where you can, oh, let's say, sacrafice power for speed.

Kind of like in F-Zero GX? Yeah, that'd be cool. I'd prefer if they went all the way and made customizable movesets with new techniques that can be unlocked, but that's probably too much work for the developers.

Can you imagine the Megaton, though?

''What's this? Mario's down special has become a hammer attack? Does this mean you can customize your fighter?

Yes, I think it does. We've really taken out all the stops for this game, haven't we?"
