Xbox 360 vs Gamecube controller

If you all know i use a gamecube controller. DI is something hard to master. in the gc controller it's a bit easy to DI with in Mupen my GC controller becomes worthless as many buttons aren't recognized so i switch over to xbox 360 on mupen and holy crap it's hard to DI on that and some things like SHDL are a bit tricky since my gc setup allows it to do it 95% of the time

I think it's best if i switch over to xbox 360 to get a more realistic DI rather than a gc controller giving me easy DI. I've also thought about it because i use my gc controller to play ALL the smash series (excluding brawl i don't play that garbage) and boom gave me a little tip that the reason why i get so rusty by playing melee or vice versa is because of memory muscle i use a gc controller to play ssb64 and a gc controller to play melee. it's a bit eh for me a easy solution to fix my problem with getting rusty cause i played melee or ssb64 oh and not to mention L and R buttons are quite a pain ;_;

so, recap. i will be using a xbox 360 controller to play ssb64. I will practice harder to DI and get my SHDL and other stuff going with the new controller if you would like to play with me pm me or send me a IM. for console playing i use a n64 controller of course..(now if only the stick didn't suck >_>)

what are your thoughts?

GREAT LULZ FOR SURRI!

If you make your plugin the same as in Project64 [not the 2.00, the 1.83], then you can use your GCN controller on Mupenh.

If you want to play with 360 though I'm all for it.

Well, make sure to play me as soon as you switch to 360 so I have a chance of winning Surri's tournament. XD
i already got the hang of the controller but things like DI,SHDL etc are a way too rusty

All my buttons register except for the C-Stick.
It only works with other plugins

personally i would prefer a GC controller over my 360 controller.

360 is hard to smash DI, im considering using the dpad instead

I already play 64 with GC controller on my Wii so muscle memory isn't a problem for me :/

Is it possible to macro a button to register as "tilt-up + A" ie Uair ? if so, how?

Id like to be able to fast fall uair with 100% consistency, which honnestly I find impossible to do without using my double jump when I try to uair after the FF.

Also, what's a good deadzone for GC ?

For jabos I think 25 was the default. Try that first then experiment , maybe go higher each time.

I remember being able to do Fastfall upairs in the 20-40 range. Any higher and its pretty much gone. I THINK

Meh I made a button for upair, so long as the stick is neutral (easier to obtain during a combo than slightly tilted upwards w/o jumping) itll work.

aside from that my adaptor is workin out fine. See you on the p2p

btw is egx and the other egx in texas down??? which server do I go to for random battles?
