X and Y moves?

I dunno if this is just a rumor or what (and I hope its not really old/disproven a while ago) but I heard there may be X and Y moves (for gamecube controller format) that arent jumps but like, seperate moves themselves. Is that true?

Plus, I just want to ask, is anyone going to use the Wii Remote to play Brawl? I wonder if anyones gonna actually get good with the other formats. I just assumed that most people who will buy this game are Melee fans and that GCN would be the most comfortable choice.

You can customize the controller to any way you like, but there aren't any extra moves for X and Y.

If they don't have X and Y jump then they wouldn't let you turn off control stick up for jumping(so it can only do smashes and tilts).

Also people have played this game and no.

Haven't heard anything like that, nor have I seen anything that would support such a rumor.

Also, I plan to try out every controller mode thoroughly before making a decision. And yes, that include the Wiimote alone, turned sideways.

I'm pretty sure Sakurai would have made an update about something as important as 6 extra moves, if it were actually true... we got one for 3 different taunts, so I don't see why we couldn't get one for moves.

I'm also certain the Controls update and the game demos would have included these additional moves somewhere too... it feels like too big of a mechanic to just leave out entirely or include at the last minute. Also, it would be pretty silly to just give one control method exclusive moves, don't you think?
