This tournament will be featuring "Super Smash Bros. Melee," and will be held on Monday, April 11th, 2016. Parking is free behind Wycked Java in a big dirt lot on Harding Street.
Schedule:
Setup: 5:00PM
Signups: 6:00PM
Doubles Bracket: 6:30PM
Singles bracket will start after doubles end.
Singles: $5
Doubles: $5 ($2.50 per person)
Tournament Fees: $5
If you bring a full setup (GameCube/Wii, Melee, memory card, CRT) you will get your tournament fee waived.

If there are less than 16 people that attend, the money pot will be divided as such:
1st: 65%
2nd: 35%
If there are 16 or more people in attendence, 3rd place will receive a percentage:
1st: 60%
2nd: 30%
3rd: 10%

GENERAL RULES
-You must register and pay all fees before you participate.
-All fees will be paid at the door. We will only accept dollar bills and quarters.
-You must register to participate. You may register at the door, through e-mail (address included at bottom of description), or by sending a message to one the hosts.
-Both brackets include double elimination with a losers bracket.
-The winner of the losers bracket will need to defeat the winner of the winners bracket in 2 sets in the Grand Finals in order to be crowned the champion.
-The winner of the winners bracket will only need to win 1 set in the Grand Finals to be crowned champion.
-At the beginning of the tournament, people MUST arrive by the time their first match is starting. If you are late, you will be counted as the loser of the set and be sent to the losers bracket. If you are also late for your second match, you will just be disqualified.
-No-shows are obviously disqualified from the tournament.

SUPER SMASH BROS. MELEE SINGLES RULES
-Game Settings: 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, No Items, Pause Disabled, 2/3 Games per set (3/5 for Top 8 and onwards)
-Starter stages: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land.
-Counter-pick stages: Pokemon Stadium.
-Wobbling is legal. Freezing and infinite stalling are BANNED.
-First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order.
-Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
-In best-of-three sets, the winner of a match gets to ban a single stage before the next match starts.
-Any sets that are best-of-five, there are no stage bans.
You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.

-Controller ports must be in 1-2-2-1 order.

Kongo Jungle 64 (Note: Because this stage is in the gray area of legality, this stage can only be used (as a counterpick) if both teams agree to it)
