Oh yes you Doc! Since Little Mac made his appearance as an AT, I think his master trainer should be a character! He'll use boxing gloves and he'll generally but short range, but heavy and powerful. His FS could be the ultimate knock out punch, or he will show up on the map like when your playing Punch Out (when Little Mac is on the bottom and he punches kinda upwards from the screen point of view) and he can try and punch everyone running around the map.
