I think adding custom moves on For Glory would be interesting. Personally, if this was to become a reality, it would only be ideal to have all custom move matches occur in a "Custom For Glory" mode (or something to that effect) versus just a "Smash", "1 On 1", or "Teams" mode with custom moves available. This way, we could battle with or without custom moves at our own discretion.

Lastly, would you want equipment to be used in battle?

Discuss your thoughts below.

Since Day 1 of the 3DS Release, that is exactly what I want possible. SO many characters benefit greatly from Custom Specials, adding variety, viability, and even hope for the bad MUs (ex. :4dedede: VS :4link:), and rarely-seen low tiers would show up more often, like :4wiifit: (2322 or 3322~), :4palutena: (2322 or 1322~), :4dk: (2333 or 3333~), and more.

Personally, as a :4ludwig: & :4duckhunt: main, some of their most dreaded MUs, :4yoshi: & :4sonic: respectively, would become SO much more manageable, to the point of being fair, hopeful, and even fun to face. :4iggy: would get to bring 3322 or 3222 against :4yoshi:, and :4duckhunt: would get to bring 3222 or 3223 against :4sonic:.
In turn, Yoshi would get to bring either 2323 or 3323 against:4lemmy: (I sincerely believe that Yoshi's good enough as he is that he doesn't need eggs at all to deal with him [and possibly a bunch of the cast as well], especially with 3 other Specials that he'd actually want to use, and having an actual recovery move would allow him to not only go incredibly far for the edgeguard against Jr's fantastic recovery, but also be able to recover better if he either gets hit after using his 2nd jump or sends himself off-stage after using Side 3).
Sonic gets to bring either 1213 or 1313 against the dog, which is not TOO different, aside from a slightly better recovery from Hammer Spin Dash (if jump cancelled before using your 2nd jump) and a more interesting use for Down B.

*Fantasizes about :4roy: ripping through Yoshi's seemingly devastating NAirs & DAirs with Grounding Dash and dealing just as much damage back to him with a solid Meteor Ejection after burying him, counter-spiking Yoshi's FAir with Up 2, and chucking Impatient Mechakoopas and plain ol' Air from his Cannon on a recovering Yoshi*

*Also fantasizes about DH being able to stop Sonic's Spin Dashes COLD w/ Rising Clays, escape MUCH shield pressure & edgeguard attempts with Duck Jump Snag, anti-air him for big damage with Zigzag Can, and stop Homing Attacks with Mega Gunmen that will stick around & present a looming threat to him while Zigzag Can's around*

Maybe I'll find more Jr and DH dittos this way too.... ;) I wonder how crazy they'll become with Custom Specials on.... ;D

As for equipment, if you really want them allowed too, let there be a section of FG or even FF with those included as well, separate from the rooms that allow for just Custom Specials. Don't just lump them with Custom Specials. Especially on the 3DS version, where there's hacked Miis with +200 points in every category....

yeah it would be a dream to be able to use custom sets in FG. Thing is, they most likely would only consider custom characters if they could use the gear as well, they wouldnt restrict custom fighters from using stuff to increase their stats. So it would be kinda lame, ppl running around invincible with baseball bats.

Custom sets would be really nice, not going to lie, and it would certainly shake matches up a bit. Definitely would need to be it's own category though. Sadly, I have no idea if it's possible to do without equipment, and equipment honestly makes actual matches too boring for my taste. So hey, if we can get it without equipment, sure! If not, then no.

Here's an idea: In For Fun, add in a custom mode that allows both the custom moves and equipment, and in For Glory add a custom mode that just allows the custom moves. Should make everyone happy.

I would not want it on regular For Glory but if they made a different version that allows customs, then yes.

Allow the 3 miis to be used without equipment then we are good to go on this matter.

Separate modes for customs + equipment, equipment only, and customs only would be nice [I could do without equipment only but there'd doubtless be a few who wonder why there is no equipment only room].

Adding just a customs mode [or customs + equipment] would still be very nice.

This is not a bad idea. Generally speaking, the more options people have, the better.
