I have to say, this game looks pretty good for a 3DS game. The fact that the characters run at 60fps is also very amazing.
Now, it does this all in 3D. To produce the 3D effect, the 3DS must render everything twice. This means the 3DS only uses half of it's power. Without the 3D, the 3DS can produce better graphics than a XBOX (not 360). Since it's GPU is clocked at 268mhz, it's GPU is better than each and every 6TH gen system. Don't believe me? Here's a old video demonstrating the 3DS's GPU. And remember, this is what it can do, but it's not going to the max. That means games can look even better.
The 3DS' s CPU is ARM11 dual core, clocked at 268mhz. Despite the CPU being worse than the Cube, it could still handle Smash very well, with AT's and Pokes running at 60fps.
If you could make the choice, would you sacrifice 3D for all that?

I really dont use the 3D-Effect so i would love to have better graphics and a better framerate instead of the 3D-Effect.

You speak like the graphics of the game aren't already gorgeous. But yeah, I would sacrifice the 3D for any possible graphical improvement.

I generally don't bother with the 3D feature, so I suppose so. I don't have a problem with the graphics or framerate, but I'd get more out of them being improved than I would the 3D feature.

Yes I personally have never liked the 3d setting and never bother using it at all.

I'm hesitant to say yes, because as a result of the technical limitations the developers were forced to adapt a more stylistic look to the game. I like how it looks, and would prefer it to another Melee or Brawl-styled game. I think it's unique, and has some level of added charm! I say keep the 3D or ditch it and use the extra power for more stages, characters, effects, etc.

I'm prone to motion sickness and thus don't use the 3D anyway, so I would sacrifice it for literally anything.

I barely use my 3d but I use it on special occasions like in a link between worlds so im going say the graphics are fine the way they are keep the 3d but either way I really wouldn't care there was no pick both choices option .

I'm a fan of the 3D, but for Smash I'd probably rather have the better graphics.

Don't fret though. I predict that the next Nintendo handheld will be the HDS.

Remember me. ;}

I don't use it very much. I'll prolly turn it on to check it out then leave it off for the rest of the time I play it.

If it came down to one or the other I would definitely pick the graphics over 3D. 3D isn't something I rave about in any form of media. I prefer 2D visuals

I don't really use the 3D much, so I'd trade it for slightly better graphics. That said, I think that the graphics do look fine, but like I said, losing 3D for an improvement would be alright.

If I remember correctly, Tekken Prime 3D had it's 3D function turned off whenever the game went online.

If everything was rendered twice, I'd rather cut the 3D entirely in the game so there wouldn't be terrible lag. Of course, the 3D will be reenabled if the player goes offline.

It should be totally up to the player.

I like 3D, but for an intense fighting game, the device might keep shaking out of my perfect line of view, making th 3D look weird unless I stay perfectly steady. So I would like to have better graphics at the cost of 3D.

Ignoring all the other things that make the 3DS Version unique, yes, I would give up 3D for HD.

I don't use 3D that much, and really only have it on occasionally for cutscenes. I find it hard to use during gameplay, where I have to be looking all over the screen, which I can't do when I'm cross-eyed.

I find the 3d is gimmicky. Its fun to see what it looks like for awhile but after it gets annoying and i'd rather just focus on playing the game.

Hands down, the style of Smash 3DS is outstanding! I only voted to drop 3D because I don't use it much at all, but to be honest, I'm perfectly content with how it's looking right now. I have yet to get my hands on the 3DS version demo, but looking at all the pictures of it makes me extremely excited. Anyway, 3DS games always look MUCH better on the 3DS screen- something about screenshots of 3DS games always looks a little off.

I would totally sacrifice the so called "3D", 3DS is a great handheld, but the whole thing is a gimmick and not a very good one either, the 3D looks more blurry the anything else, though the frame rate is fine, I'd prefer better graphics.

well if the 3d is just as good as fire emblem awakening I would say it is well worth the 3d. It really depends on how well the graphics are. If I am correct the 3d is subtle in smash run from the e3/smashfest demo but I am not positive.

After playing it, the graphics are great and the 3D is very nice.

The 3D doesn't work for me (due to my near-failing eye sight in my left eye) thus I would prefer better graphics versus the 3D.

I don't care, as long as it's fun because I find playing games over the other game just because it has better "graphics" is stupid and I don't see why it matters. If the 3D hurts your eyes then get a 2DS or just don't turn your 3D on at all.

If you want better graphics there is always the Wii U version. All of the graphics and none of the 3D. You can even keep it portable as long you dont get too far from your console :p.
Im ok with the 3D even though I dont currently use it enough. I want to get a 3DS XL for Smash to see if the 3D function looks better there, amongst other things.

I don't really see why the graphics need to be better. They already look great. I love and use the 3D effect with all my 3DS games, so I would not sacrifice it.

If I want to play with better graphics, I'll play the Wii U version.

I don't, and never have, worried about/cared about graphics. It wouldn't make the game more enjoyable in any way, so I really don't care.

No, not really. Even if I only use the 3D effect once or twice in the thousands of hours I'll invest in the game, I still would like to have the option available. While I rarely use 3D in games such as Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Fire Emblem: Awakening, I occasionally turn it on, as most 3DS games, at least in my opinion, look loads more amazing when in 3D. Also, while I do see what you're talking about with better graphics without 3D, amazing graphics can still be achieved while keeping 3D on at all times, with Kirby: Triple Deluxe being a huge example.

What? You don't get it. I love the graphics, they're just fine for me. I play 64 over Melee, and we all know which one has better graphics. I'm not gonna play the Wii U version over the 3DS one just because the graphics are better. It was just a question.

Imagine if there were two Smash 64 games. They were excactly the same (same controls, same modes, same stages etc.) HOWEVER one has better graphics, and framerate. You have to pick one. Remember, everything besides that is the same. Even the price and system.

3D is one of the worst gimmicks of this generation, it does nothing for me, so yeah.

I like the 3D a lot (as in, 99% of the time) so I'll likely use it in this game. I'd rather keep it.

Yea I kinda went a little steamy there I was just saying that for some people who do play the other game for the "graphics" but I'll still play them both equally like I would with any game that has two versions.

I love the 3D feature and I use it for a bit of titles but if we could have even better graphics, I would drop the feature in a heart beat.

Not to say the graphics are bad.
