I have to say, this game looks pretty good for a 3DS game. The fact that the characters run at 60fps is also very amazing.
Now, it does this all in 3D. To produce the 3D effect, the 3DS must render everything twice. This means the 3DS only uses half of it's power. Without the 3D, the 3DS can produce better graphics than a XBOX (not 360). Since it's GPU is clocked at 268mhz, it's GPU is better than each and every 6TH gen system. Don't believe me? Here's a old video demonstrating the 3DS's GPU. And remember, this is what it can do, but it's not going to the max. That means games can look even better.
The 3DS' s CPU is ARM11 dual core, clocked at 268mhz. Despite the CPU being worse than the Cube, it could still handle Smash very well, with AT's and Pokes running at 60fps.
If you could make the choice, would you sacrifice 3D for all that?
