Would you like if this game had the same smoothness like in KI:U in online gameplay?

A lot of people are doubting if this game is going to have good online gameplay, but after playing KI:U a LOT online, I can say it's pretty smooth and I would love if Smash had the same smoothness.

It would not be surprising coming from Sakurai, which also made KI:U

Also remember.

KI:U Uses 6 players, Smash just 4.

Never played KIU, but from accounts from friends, a similar level of reliability would be great after the nonsense that was Brawl's online.

I know Kid Icarus: Uprising did have its share of lag-spikes. I mean, I played the game, after all.
Anyways, Uprising was nowhere near as complex in terms of graphics....however, I won't deny that there was always A LOT of stuff going on....so who knows? It'll likely be just fine.

Namco worked on Smash 3DS. If there is one thing Namco does well is the netcode/online aspect of their game.

I will be surprised if Smash's online isn't "smooth".

KIU is pretty slick most of the time, but that's because it "cheats." No matter how little homing does your weapon has, it has fairly significant "lag homing," which is basically extra homing on top of what you got. Many kills I've gotten online I know full well wouldn't of registered otherwise. And while KIU has six players, it only keeps track of players within spitting distance, players within your general range, and shots aimed at you. If you zoom on a distant player you can easily see them "jumping" around because the game isn't keeping tack of them proper. It's still quite impressive, but it's nothing to base expectations on SSB I'm afraid.
